Does anyone have their own way to catch the roaming legands (mespirit and cresselia) without using the master ball?
My way involves a wobbuffet and some speed pokemon 40+. First, weaken legendary with speeder until in the reds.* Then use wobbuffet**, because its spell tag ability will prevent them to flee, then start tossing quick(beggining of battle)/dusk(if at night)/timer(if battle drags on)/ultra(if at daytime, battles seems to go to far in for quick balls to work well, and not long enough for timers) balls. Also you will need lots of hyper potions/full restores. Even a wobbuffet at lv. 30 or so will survive a few hits, but it won't hurt to heal if its HP hit the yellows. The marking ap. will be needed. Repels are optional, but you'll know you've run into one before you even see the pokemon.
Note: save after legend is weakened enough. When you use Wobbuffet to battle, the legendary may not be able to flee, but it could run out of PP and kill itself with the infamous struggle.
*Most likely this will take a few encounters and chases to accomplish do to them fleeing.
** Make sure Wobbuffet is up front when battling, if you switch him in, the legendary can still flee.
