DISCLAIMERS: I do not own pokemon, Soulsilvershipping, or the lyrics in this story. The song is Zombie. It was created by The Cranberries.

Another head hangs lowly,
Child is slowly taken.
And the violence caused such silence,
Who are we mistaken?

(Three years ago)

Silver walked up to his dad, Giovanni. The seven-year-old's eyes were filled with anger and sadness. "Dad! Where are going?"

"I'm going into training by myself. Team Rocket has failed me, your mother has failed me, and you have failed me," Giovanni responded to Silver as he turned his back and walked away.

"Dad! DAD! DON'T GO," sobbed Silver attempting to run after his father. He stopped after a few steps, and took off in another direction, bumping into a young girl and boy. He shoved the girl out of his way and continued to run.

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

(Present day)

Lyra was quietly sitting on a sturdy wooden bench outside of Olivine City in Johto. Just sitting there, reminiscing of all the times she had randomly met Sliver on the road. She had beaten the Elite Four and Lance, and was now heading off to Kanto. She had already said goodbye to everyone, but she just couldn't find her rival.

There was the time in Cherrygrove City, when he had stolen the Totodile away from Professor Elm. There was also the time in Violet City. She couldn't forget the time in the Goldenrod Radio Tower when he had blown her cover and shoved her into the nearby bathroom to get out of that 'ridiculous outfit'. She was both excited and heartbroken about her upcoming adventure in Kanto. She completely understood the excited part. The heartbroken part was another story.

In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, oh, dou, dou, dou, dou, dou...

(present day)

"I can't get her off of my mind. I've heard rumors that she was leaving for Kanto. You know what I said when I heard the news to the source? "So. What." Inside I was devastated. It was like a fight in my head. On side wanted for me to forget her and to push her away from my heart, but the other wanted to find her and go with her. I think you might figure out who won.

I was running as quickly as my legs could carry me. Running. Running. There was only one thought in my head at the time. I must get to Olivine in time. I already had my ticket. I just needed to get there. I only heard my footsteps pounding on the well-worn concrete. I only felt the vibrations of my feet colliding on the ground. I looked up. The city limits sign sped past me. There it was. The S.S. Aqua. And there SHE was. Her shoulders were slumped as she gave her ticket to the person on the dock. Instant fear swept over me. "I'm not going to make it." I ran harder. I thanked Arceus as I also gave my ticket to Ticket Master... ... Joey? Ugg.... I hate that name. But that didn't matter at that moment in my life. All I needed to do was find her."

Another mother's breakin',
Heart is taking over.
When the vi'lence causes silence,
We must be mistaken.

"A young boy was yelling at what I suspected to be his father. He was somewhat familiar to Silver. Then, when he pushed me, I knew it had to be him. Hot, watery tears came to my eyes. I knew then why he was so cold, so ruthless, why he hated the weak. I felt so bad for him. Now I wish I could have at least said goodbye to him. As I watched the boy run away, Celebi warped us back into the present. Ethan and I were in a small cave in Tojoh Falls, standing behind a man bent over a small, out-dated radio. We battled, Giovanni and I. He ended up losing. Without another word, he exited the cavern. There was an audible splash outside a few seconds later. I wanted to see what had fallen into the water, and yet I already knew. Silver was now without a father.

The radio burst back into action. It sounded like the rocket admins had apparently given up. At that moment I felt so sorry for Silver. A wave of grief washed over me as I fully realized what had happened. Celebi, knowing that it was probably time to go, teleported us back into our rightful place."

It's the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen.
In your head, in your head they're still fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are dying...

(present day + 3)

"Ugg.... We've been sailing for 3 days now and I haven't seen her ANYWHERE! I'm starting to think I did miss the S.S. Aqua after all. We have recently landed in Vermilion in Kanto. I've officially lost all hope of seeing her again. Why must all these terrible things happen to me?! Wait. Hold it right there. I think I see her. Yes. That is her. I ran to meet her, but then....THEN I thought that she might feel differently for my than I feel for her. Ugg... I'd hate to think of her falling for the retarded Ethan.

Yes, my brain is still fighting over whether I should tell her my.... secret. I think I should. Yeah, that's EXACTLY what I should do. I mean, everyone hates me anyway. What do I have to lose but her?"

In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh, oh, hey, oh, ya, ya-a...

Silver didn't bother to depart the ship the RIGHT way. No sir, he was so worried that he wouldn't get to Lyra in time that he jumped off the two-story deck in order to get to her quicker. Yes, he was that determined. Lyra was heading off to face Lt. Surge and his electric-typed pokemon that he didn't see nor hear Silver calling for her. Silver was running so hard and so fast that when he tripped, he knocked right into Lyra, making her fall as well. Silver just happened to land on top of Lyra. There lips met unintentionally and folks, you know how this story ends. They blushed heavily, and confessed to each other in the pokemon center that evening.

Well? Did you like it? This is my first shipping one-shot, so please tell me if I did anything wrong. Thanks! Oh, and please listen the this song, Zombie, in its acoustic version. Its author is The Cranberries.
