So yeah. This week's episode is about an ancient fish. Sadly, I don't think they delve into how it's half of the puzzle to unlock the Regis. Man, the show skips all the good stuff like that, doesn't it?

(MistyIRC edit: Title fix. I guess 4Kids themselves realized how bad the original title was...)

I heard a lot of people hated this episode, but I thought it was very good.

The thing that stood out to me was that TR was a lot more violent than they have been in a long time - they were almost like Kanto TR.

The main plot was a bit generic but executed well. The characters were good and the dialogue was funny at times.

Overall I say 8/10.

Adam and his wife are the best filler characters in a long time. Team rocket WAS violent today, using real missiles to fire.

Honest opinion: the episode was tedious, the CotDs obnoxious, and really, could the gang have sunken any lower?

"Great man of the sea" my butt. There was nothing cute about the whole repetition, only pain. However, I give credit for the Adam/Eve references in name only. In retrospect, it didn't save this episode.

It felt like a quite a few of the Johto episodes relived, with all the boredom attached. 1/10

What's with the sudden title change? I mean, maybe 4Kids did just suddenly change it in their free time for no real reason... but it's still kinda odd. o_O

I thought this episode was good... I liked the filler characters a lot, and TR was really evil... it was like the old days! I mean, being that this is the Pokemon world, of course they were all going to get out of that cave alive, but still.

It's not the first change like that. "Hokey Pokémon" became "Hokey Pokéballs". In both case, it is an improvement, though not by much.

The thing that I thought hilarious was that the name of the island was Wazu like "up the wazu". And the "Adam of the sea" I found aiming to Christianity.
The music was very different in this episode. And Adam's wife is hot!

I believe that Adam actually means "of the sea" in some language, but I don't know why I think that. And Evelyn? Yep.

I like the title change. Applause.

Team Rocket was very villanous in this episode. I quite enjoyed it! I love the way James said, "Meowth, don't you know you're supposed to close the door behind you?" Ooo, evil. ^_^ BTW, did he say "crap!" when the sub was filling up, or was it my imagination?

I'm not a big one for CotD eps, but evil-er TR made it a bit better. 7/10.

Bad twerps, BAD! Didn't their parents ever teach them about not going off with strangers ^^. It only leads to pointless filler.

Guh >_<, another boring episode. I'm really not getting into any of the post Lilycove episodes. I wish they could just hurry up and get to the Groudon/Kyrogue stuff. This episode felt to me like a repeat of that Mantine episode from the Whirl Islands, where they got the silver wing from the Sunken ship. I didn't think the character of the day was all that interesting, and even Team Rocket didn't liven things up for me, they weren't nearly as funny as they are normally. I also thought the way the kids meet Adam was dumb. They are just walking down the beach and some random stranger pops out of the sea and they just instantly become friends with him and go off to his house? Not really setting a good example for kids. If I saw a guy like that appear I'd probably run the other way, lol. Anyway this episode gets like 1/4th of a star, because there were like two or three lines that I thought were good, but not much else.

I liked the reappearance of the magikarp sub I haven't seen that in a while. It seemed like a pretty generic filler. Like it could be an episode from the Orange or Whirl islands.

Yeah, but this seemed more of an extreme case. It took them like all of 3 seconds to decide that this guy was ok, and he's probably a lot older than the average character of the day. If he'd been some other pokemon trainer their own age that would have been different.

If a random stranger pops out of the sea, and he's hot like Adam, then I shall certainly make friends with him :-D. Even if he has a wife. XD. Then again, I'm 17 -I'm not a kid.

Anywho, the episode was a bit boring :-/, but, like many, I liked Team Rocket's more evil & aggresive behaviour ;-). They actually fired missiles against the Relicanth! I hate Relicanth. So freakin' ugly. As for the green shards, they were quite pretty. It might not be as valuable as emeralds, but who cares? They'd make quite nice jewelry.

I give it 6/10. TR has much to do with the score. Go TR! =D

But the think that got me thinking was Jessie said she did not care if she was pedding to china.Wait you are telling me that the real world is there.........I'm going to Kanto bye ^^.

Actually, it merely means "man." Marinus means "of the sea," though. And perhaps the people who where naming them were having fun by naming them after the main characters in The Shape of Things or maybe even Adam and Evil.

If he did, I missed it. I would have loved to hear that! At least I get a chance next Friday to see.

Man, I don't think the people who are comparing this to Johto remember how truly bad some of those fillers were.
Some were really bad (such as Throwing in the Noctowl), but there some more interesting ones (The Heartbreak of Brock, The Joy of Water Pokemon, Just Waiting On A Friend).

Johto did have very good fillers, but the majority of them were bad.

Hoenn rarely has truly bad fillers, but I'm surprised people hate this episode so much. I thought it was interesting, we almost never have a submarine adventure in this show, and TR was as evil as ever.
