Kids' WB!, 10:00am ET
No known encore airing this week

Ash and his friends help a young film maker deliver his newest movie to a village full of anxious children. Can he deliver the movie in time, or will Team Rocket get in his way?

Post your thoughts about the episodes here. Please mark any spoilers for episodes not that have yet to air in America in spoiler tags.

Dogasu, the badge edit returns (surprise surprise), but only for one clip and it's hard to notice unless you have really good eyesight. And 4Kids messed up and had Azumarill say Azurill.

The episode sucked, it was on par with some of the worst fillers with Johto.

It's kind of hard to describe. He sounds like a mischevious little kid, which is what he more or less is.

And I was also thinking about the Lucario movie while was watching this episode. 4Kids hasn't had timing this good since "Dues and Don'ts!"

Was the timing this good in Japanese? Probably not, right?

I still think it's a shame that they missed a great opportunity with the other movies. May watched a sappy love story? Great! It could have involved Hazel and Almond!

EDIT now that the ep is actually on:

Mmm, Mossdeep. And of course he's never heard of it, he never checks the damn map. You'd think for a kid who's so gung-ho about these things he'd have these things memorized.

Wouldn't it make more sense for this guy to recall his Camerupt? If I recall correctly, anything they're holding gets recalled too.

Elijah? That made me laugh more than it should.

Plusle and Minun are film stars now? *gag*

"Imagine what the boss would call us if we brought him these!" "Blockheads?" "Not this time!"

I'm rather surprised they kept the movie that the Boss watches, given that it could be construed as an ad.

A sports car with two humps? Is it wrong that my first reply to that was "I don't think that's a problem for him"?

So I think it's all clear that Meowth's fantasy version of the Boss has taken over his mind. Coping skills from what he saw in MR, I'm telling you.

May is an IDIOT. "Yep, it's definately rocks."

Mariah. The name I think should have been given to Winona. *le sigh*

So Ash doesn't notice that the guy in the movie looks EXACTLY LIKE HIM?

I liked the Ursaring's voice *g*. "I'll toast your buuuuuuns!"

Pichu Brothers are famous too then?

Was the Meowth Monster voiced by Addie Blaustein? Sounded like she was pitching her voice down *really* low.

"It's a spaceship, but it sinks?" "YES."

So Elijah insists that the whole experience and who you go with is part of it, but May's last example she went to on her own.

Trainer's Choice--was Kekleon more...brightly colored than usual, or was it just me? Or was it just because the other two were browinsh?

The story moves along too quickly. Seriously, they forgot the basic key--show, don't tell!

So J&J do a perfect Bond entrance and there's no joke about it?

Has no one caught on to the fact that Brock only KNOWS ONE SONG? At least he's trying to mix it up a little now, but it's still the same damn song.

When James says "How did it become our fault?" he sounds a lot like Mummymon. Which is funnier than it should be.

It seems Brock is forgetting the lyrics. Can't he, I donno, sing something like a lullabye? I'm sure he knows tons of those! Or a nursery rhyme? Or about how he's a little teapot? Short and stout? Although he may see a pretty girl while in the middle of it and the 'here is my spout' line would come out all wrong and cause him to get slapped.

So that whole movie was a recap? And it was only five minutes long? And they waited a year for THAT?!?! If I were someone in that town, I'd riot! He travels all that way and he can't be arsed to bring a FEATURE with him?

What about when they had that one Kirby ep on the same day that Order of the Phoenix came out? Here, check here.

I liked 4 parts: Jessie's "You're so smart", Max and May's "spaceships sink in space" bit, when Ash-tachi were sitting and talking around the fire (yeah, the plain talking part in particular), and the whole little TR part at the very end. Other than that, it wasn't too good. At least it wasn't utterly terrible, like Throwing in the Noctowl. The movies weren't that great (though I seriously would have almost cried at the Xatu one if I hadn't been laughing.... What? >_>). The one Giovanni was watching sucked. Although I don't normally think little kids are cute (though anime/manga kids have a real advantage over real ones), little Mariah was for some reason. I'll go with a 7.5/10.

What badge edit? Do you mean badge case?

"In which case, I guess Ash just enters Leagues because he wants to. Actually, wait, no - I remember now, he enters them because a poster back in Pewter City told him to."
"It's weird how many of the characters don't have a clue what they need to do to accomplish X. May buggered around Hoenn earning ribbons, but it wasn't until the fourth contest she entered that she found out what the Grand Festival was. Errrr, then what were you getting the ribbons for, huh, May? To look pretty?" -- Jo-Jo, from Pokémopolis forums
One would think, but Ash is fiercely... spontaneous. Yeah, that's it.... "Spontaneous".... Having, let alone checking, a map seems to be too much of a hassle between eating and battling. Or something.

Maybe he didn't have Camerupt's Pokéball available. Lost it while fording a river, never had it in the first place ("Hey Camerupt! Wanna come with me?" "Camerupt!
th_Gaiacatnod.gif
" *they walk off into the sunset*), got broken.... Or he forgot about that nifty little feature. It would be a real hassle if he needed to get Camerupt to a Pokémon center if he really doesn't have it....

How come?

Ah, that was silly. Liked that.

But she still went and had the experience, and she gave an example of not going alone slightly later (telling how the family would get ice cream while going back home).

Exactly what I thought. But there must have been more to it because they didn't just magically have the Exploud beat and the castle destroyed. It must have been at least 7 minutes long!

I'm afraid I can't think of any Elijahs who had to do with 1. showing movies 2. having trouble crossing rivers. Unless you're talking about Elijah Wood for merely being in movies. The only other possibility I can find is Biblical Elijah, who made a river part by striking it with his cloak, but I sort of doubt that that's who you're talking about. Sorry....

May: "Like I always say, the merry, the morri...er."
Max: "You never say that."
May: "Now we know why."

Well, the Deoxys movie had come out two weeks before, so the timing wasn't *terrible*...

I still think it's a shame that they missed a great opportunity with the other movies. May watched a sappy love story? Great! It could have involved Hazel and Almond!

They probably didn't include it because PiPiPi Adventures isn't as well-known in Japan as Pocket Monsters is.

Plus, the Japanese love Titanic.

Has no one caught on to the fact that Brock only KNOWS ONE SONG? At least he's trying to mix it up a little now, but it's still the same damn song.

Brock actually says something in the dub which goes something like "*groan* This is the only song I know!"

Why the Pikachu. Is Pikachu some kind of GOD in Pokemon cause he sure as hell isn't in my world. Send in a REAL winner... like you know, :145: . ANYTHING. Send in a Raichu for god's sake. I'm sorry but I am so sick seeing all Pikachu = god. And how he blushed? Yeah b/c it was obviously YOU Pikachu in the movie.
GOD.

Brock's singing made me laugh hard. It really wasn't even that funny. And I loved how Team Rocket got the last minute of the show. They haven't had that in a while. But really, this was a let down.

Just Elijah Wood, since he's a big film star.

yeah I think they named him after elijah wood. not that I'm complaining any, I LOVE HIM! hehe, they should have made him have pretty blue eyes..that would have been cool.

okkk.....anyways, I woke up early today, so I just watched it. it was pretty good, I laughed at the movie ash watched. wasn't it supposed to be like that manga pokemon magic or something ?_? lol. but he watched that right before his pokemon journey....? he looks like max or something in that flashback. I also laughed at may's movie, lol. sinking ships in outer space...

but they should have had better movies, i agree. lol. that one movie with pichus...in a cage.... they were..well they looked like they were doing something weird in that cage, LOL. it was an ok episode...it wasn't THAT bad. a little change is good I think

Meowth: "Imagine what da Boss would call us if we gave him dat [movie equipment]! One word..."
James: "Blockheads?"
Meowth: "Not dis time, he'd say we're totally brilliant!"
Jessie: "That's two words."
Meowth: "Exactly!"

Um...huh? LOL

Hehe, I loved Gary's reaction to Ash laughing at the film in the flashback, like "Dude, shut up. I wasn't that funny -_-"

This is like the first episode I have seen with all the new characters and it was pretty good. But same ol' storyline. I mean its like bring in some new bad guys!
