The return of the fabulous Bannai airs today, along with some other episode where I don't remember what happened. Although shouldn't it be "Hi-yo" instead of "Hi Ho"?
 
The other one is the start of the Grand Festival. ;-)

I'm talking about the U.S. version, since we know how America is anti-Jynx. First the Pacifidlog eps banned, Jynx edited in this one, and that other soon-to-be banned ep "Smoochum and the 3 Jynx Sisters".
 
The second episode is going to be sooooo much better than the first it isn't funny.

Who cares about a craptacular filler about Brody when we have Drew and Harley in the same episode? Not to mention May in a league?

If the second episode didn't have terrible animation via the worst animation team (thank god the 2nd and 3rd parts of the GF got the good animation teams), it would have been golden.

I seem to have more fun watching the episodes dubbed first, and then seeing them in Japanese.

Then again, that could just be me.
 
Ribbon Cup Caper: Ugh, Jenny was such a bore. And James' Boss fantasy voice so sucked. He's no Meowth. On the other hand... ^.^ Brody~!

And I'm guessing May's Pink Surprise is a quick-filler-up for Munchlax, given the way it bloated after eating it. XD;; What Ash would've done to have something like that for Snorlax.

Hi Ho Silver Wind: Don't care who's in it, Turtles is so much more important. =P Any episode that plays second also plays second fiddle, and loses on contact.
 
Jenny's new voice makes my ears bleed. She sounds like a man now, WTF. She just sounded awful, THIS is why Pokemon USA better keep all the 4kids voice actors. I wouldn't be able to stand hearing everyone else sound different. The new Jenny just plain sucks.

Also, did anyone else laugh when Harley called May "girlfriend?"

The Jynx made me want to break down and cry because means they skipped over the contest to make all the uninformed fans go WTF just to bring the fat slob in faster. I've only seen it for three episodes and I already want to shoot Munchlax. It's annoying I would have PREFERED watching Skitty take down a Houndoom.
 
This is the first time I've gotten to see Harley in action. I missed his debut. You people were right, he is slime, but he's competent slime, which is exactly what an antagonist should be.
 
And the fact that's he's simply fabulous to watch. Harley gets the best dialouge in this show hands down, in both the Japanese version and the dub.

4kids really got Harley nailed, he isn't toned down at all from his Japanese counterpart. In fact 4kids even makes him campier, if that's even possible.

With lines like, "You'll be sorry you ran into me again, girlfriend!" how can you go wrong? :D

Didn't think Jynx was going anywhere. Proof enough for me that the OMGZ JYNX stuff is done with and the Pacifidlog contest was just an easy target to bump out of the way on the WB to draw in the extra ratings.

Now the real question is when they'll finally air it.... Presumably they'll try to stick it in before the Frontier.
 
Bannai episode: I found this one pretty amusing, but I agree that Jenny's new voice sucks. What happened to her old voice? Was she played by the same girl who played Nurse Joy? Her new voice made me think of Inspector Gadget for some reason. I don't like Brody's voice much either, but the costume changing was amusing, and I liked many of the lines in the episode. One question, why would they cancel the Grand Festival because the cup is gone? They could just have the competition and send a new Ribbon cup to whoever won later. That would be better than canceling the entire thing. Overall: 3 stars

Grand Festival part 1: WOOOOH! Grand Festival! This episode was great. Harley and Drew are back! YAY! Harley's voice sounded even more out there today, for a minute I thought he had a new VA. I liked the appeals round, and Ash's training of Snorunt, and Munchlax. Team Rocket's role in the episode did drag things a little, I'd have preffered if the writers had spent a little less time with them. And I agree that the animation wasn't really that impressive Rating: 3 1/2

Megan Hollingshead (VA for Officer Jenny & Nurse Joy) moved to L.A. a few months ago, so 4Kids, being based in New York, had to find a replacement.

Jen Lee Quick did the voice for Officer Jenny, and she's probably too busy with her new manga or something. (I have it, it's really good, go buy it! ^_^)

Actually Ash does have it, or rather his Snorlax has access to it. In a previous episode May explained that she got the recipe from Professor Oak, and in an episode some time before this Oak first told the group about the expanding pokebloc.
