Standard battle eps, VERY good battle eps to be sure, but it's not like there's anything special to them.

I like how Tyson won the tournament, since Ash lost to the winner, that raises the possibility that he was up to and including the second best participant in the tournament.

Morrison really did put up a great battle. Just his inexperience is his downfall. Saying Ash's Glalie has the advantage over Metang, though?

They really gave Tyson's Scep the shaft. It just Solar Beams the junk out of stuff. Oh well, at least I get to watch Ash's Scep pull out the wide range of abilities it has later in the anime. Metagross endures three pokemon before going down. Exactly even fight of Tyson's Meowth vs. Pika. Awesome battles. Now on to Kanto and the Battle Frontier!

I noticed two other errors.

One was it said: choose it or loose it. Lose not Loose.

The second was: they said Septile instead of Sceptile.

Overall they were great battle episodes! ^^

Except people like Brock. Max is an annoying SOB that shouldn't even exist. What was the point of Ash and May getting the Hoenn Pokedexes if he's going to say what every Pokemon is they come across?

Sorry to say,but each League Tournament hasn't been as good as the last,and that's saying a lot considering how rushed the Silver Conference was.


The battles in the Hoenn League weren't just as good,it's as simple as that.The only battles really worth watching were in the first Hoenn League episode,and the Katie/Ash battle.Everything else wasn't nearly as exciting,felt even more rushed (double KO's everyhwere),and weren't even animated that well.This is the big tournament at the end of every region,this is where the battles are supposed to shine the most.


I don't know if either the writers/animators got lazy at this point,or if they just ran out of ideas.This League was somewhat of a letdown considering how much amazing battles we got to see during AG.


In the end,I think the Grand Festival was A LOT better than the Hoenn League.
