CHARIZARD FIGTS A FREAKING ARTICUNO AND WINS!

Oh....and I hope Noland gets a good voice. And more Scott, yay!

Numero Uno Articuno
Prediction: Noland = Dan Green (bah, wrong, thank god)

"Let's keep Jinx out of this." Oh ho. Double entendre there?

Brock line on travelling with kids and, "...just say the word and I can ditch them." was a serious "WTF you just dared that??" moment. Brock's seriously starting to feel the itch of being unlaid if they burst out lines like that.

For Noland's VA, I /want/ to say Sean Schemmel, but that feels wrong. o_o And Sergio is just flat out new.

"Don't worry that pretty blue head of yours. I've got a plan(e)."
"It's lavender." Hair color confirmation and Blueshipping. Yay! And I know th word is 'plan', but Meowth pronounced it as 'plane'. Bad kitty.

"G.A.G.M.E. for short!"
"That spells 'gag me'."
"Nevermind then." ..... *snickering*

*muses on Noland/Sergio and Articuno/Charizard*

The Symbol Life
Best battle I've seen in a LONG time. First and foremost, I'm beyond impressed. No battle in Hoenn compared.

Upon entering the arena, Scott commented on the lighting and stuff. The captions said it was Sergio. Pah. Morons. *deja vu*

I like learning that Scott's more than intimately familiar with the Brains and their work, their habits, and how he can influence them. It's very intriguing.

^_^ I like it when James is depressed. He's so cute. And the sparkly shots during their motto....eeeeee~

Articuno's Ice Beam, Charizard's Flamethrower, and capped off with pikachu's Thunderbolt....someone likes the beamers. And speaking of attacks, I wanna hit myself over the head for not realizing it was Overheat Charizard learned. I was pretty convinced that was Blast Burn at the time. Silly me.

*_* Articuno and Steel Wing. *loves!*

I know I forget something....hmm. Maybe later.

"Let's leave Jynx out of this."

XDXDXDXDXD

I like Noland's voice, but it got old after a while.

Grovyle got shafted in the place of an airplane colliding on with the TR mecha.

Blast Burn got shafted in the place of Overheat. Huh? This was the perfect time to premiere that attack! Grr. What's even worse is that Overheat was Torkoal's signature attack.

And speaking of TR, how come they al;ways blast off upwards? When Pikachu attacked them in the Battle Factory, I was half-expected them to blast into the wall. XD Alas, the writer of this episode was one of the more "meh" writers, right?

The person who does the Trainer's Choice finally realized the Ralts line are Psychic-types and not Grass-types! Yay!

In "Numero Uno Articuno," Brock says something about wondering why an Articuno is in this area. So that's another legendary that can reproduce, I suppose. I always liked the idea of Articuno being the last of its species, though.

And what everyone else said: Charizard vs Articuno was awesome.

May telling Ash not to get so worked up. o.o Brock telling Nurse Joy that he would abandon Ash and co. for her. I couldn't believe it. All three starters together was cool.

Noland almost seems like a Coordinator using combination attacks like that. Another one of those miracle wins from nowhere. He certainly deserves the Knowledge symbol for winning against that thing.

Haha. Brock's line was:

Brock: "I know I'm traveling with a bunch of children, but give me the word and I'll ditch them in a second!"

LMAO, he means it too! Get Brock a girl and he'll be off the series again. :P

Charizard Vs. Articuno was affected by a bad animation team, but not too bad. Most people disliked this battle because of the lame attacks given to Charizard as well as the cop out ending, but I didn't really care.

I just hated how Max talked like he was at the silver conference. He was always like, oh it's Charizard again, when he never has seen him before. Also when Charizard first uses Flamethrower on Ash Max is like "oh, not again" even though he's never seen that before.

Remember in the episode where Ash meats Norman and Max? In there Max said he'd watched the Silver conference over and over again... so of course he knew about Ash's Charizard... and Max might of saw on T.V. Ash getting burnt by Charizard. Anyways. I really liked these eps. I'm glad they kept Articuno's voice from Pokemon 2000. Yeah. I thoguht it was Blast Burn too... oh well. xD

Um, yes he did. Are you forgetting Max's debut episode? Max said he watched Ash's entire Johto league tournament, and how Charizard was so awesome against Harrison's Blaziken.

Also when Charizard first uses Flamethrower on Ash Max is like "oh, not again" even though he's never seen that before.

Again, Max watched Ash's Johto league matches. Is this really that hard to remember?

Ahem. Twas May who said the 'Oh, not again!' line. And we know she never witnessed Charizard before nor his and Ash's antics.

I thought the attack would be Blast Burn as well.

Scott's driving in the first episode was really funny. Meowth's boss fantasy was......interesting, to say the least.

As far as I'm concerned... That Charizard/Articuno battle, Articuno gripping the rocket mech with its talons...

That was just an amazing episode, the sort to revitalize one's pokemon interest. (The second. The first, I squeed the whole time -- but that's just 'cause I'm an Articuno fanboy.) And the ref was a total bish. ^_^

It should've been Blast Burn. We see Frenzy Plant later on, and it's obvious that since Gary has Blastoise, it would most likely have learned Hydro Cannon by now.

Did anyone else notice that Munchlax wasn't incased in ice in the dub. Yet he looked rather stiff when he was knocked over.

Am I the only one who finds the Blast Burn obsession to be extremely annoying? The attack (and its Water and Grass equivalents) are beyond pointless in the games, I have no clue why everyone was expecting to see them in the anime.

I think your thinking of the scene in the 8th movie where he is frozen by Kid's Manyula...
