Review S09 EP35: May, We Harley Drew'd Ya! ・ EP36: Thinning the Hoard! ・ EP37: Channeling the Battle Zone! ・ EP38: Aipom and Circumstance!

If anyone had told me, back in September, that the dub would be at the Kanto Grand Festival by mid-December, I would have laughed at them and told them that there's no way Cartoon Network would be crazy enough to blow through all their episodes like that.

Anyways, can't wait for the episodes tonight! I hope Sarah does a good job as Ash, but this episode is centered around May, so....

Ash has the Aipom subplot to keep him busy throughout this week.
 
I wonder if all Grande Fesitvals will have an Ash mini-thing involved?

Yeah had to turn closed captioning on for it. Haven't seen it yet. Too much like Solana if you ask me. Her voice was good though. I don't really like Vivian's new voice.

Is Drew being from LaRousse new information or am I just late?

It certainly does sound like an odd name, but apparently it's Spanish. After a quick Google search, I can't help but wonder if the character was named after this lady.
 
Ash and crew were SCARED of Harley. That littereally made me lol.

And I liked Sarah's performance tonight, episode the lines chasing Aipom.

I knew Drew knew Solidad, but she knew Harley also?

The appeals really sucked.

Crazy!Jessie's voice wasn't as hilarious as it was in the raw. It was just her normal Jessie voice...

Hehe, I loved the exchange May and Drew had when they were watching Solidad's appeal.

If they're going to use a name as obscure as Solidad, why not just stick with the Japanese name...? :/

This is the first episode this tidbit is mentioned...whether or not this information is "new" depends on whether or not you keep up with the Japanese version.

Harley's ALWAYS weird! Watching him prancing around as May was especially disturbing. I wanted to scream like a girl!
And what kind of name is Soladad for a woman?
And...did Jessie actually seem CUTE in that getup?!

On the other hand:
I got to see a bunch of Pokémon I missed: Rapidash and Pichu, for example.
Soladad's Lapras is amazing!
Once again, they kept the Contest theme, which is a huge plus!

And finally...
VIVIAN!! YAAAAAAY!!
