Review S09 EP42: The Unbeatable Lightness of Seeing!

First reference of Sinnoh on the show too.

Gary's voice was good. Really don't like the pronunciation of Sinnoh, but that's just cause I'm used to it being "Sh". That little pop up thing that CN does is extremely annoying cause you couldn't see the banner roll out.

And of course the postcard of Gary's is bland and uninteresting. There's pine tree-infested lakes in everywhere Ash has already been! (except maybe the Orange Islands).

...did Meowth just refer to Harley as "little miss sunshine"?
 
This is a great ep. Gary's long-awaited return (kinda), reference to all of the major recurring characters, Drew and Harley, Professor Oak, Scott's Suzikizo impression, the FIGHT! poster, fangirl Joy, the return of Beautifly and Skitty, first mention of Sinnoh (along with its location!), Team Rocket also impersonating the judges (with Jessie wearing Cassidy's Joy costume), and May still being emo. All ingredients for a great episode!

The dub completely ruined the Gary scene! ;_;

Team Rocket and Harley are sitting with the twerps in the audience! Cool! XD

Meh, people will just have to get over it. It means nothing. It's like saying the word "since" is evil cause it has "sin" in it -_-

Anyways, I enjoyed the ep ^_^ And what was it that Harley said to May and Drew when they were sitting alone? Something like, "Uh oh, two kids alone, that only means trouble" or somethin, and then May blushed xD

Good to see Beautifly and Skitty's voices haven't changed. Of course, I miss her Bulbasaur, too.

And before I forget...YAY! GARY!!!!
 
Shame this is Harley's last episode (or so I think). Farewell, Harley. You were always awesome...

Good episode, too. Is it me or was Gary a bit off, even with his old VA back?
 
Is anyone else happy the writers let us see Beautifly and Skitty one more time before AG ended? I always loved those two, it was sad to see them left behind after Hoenn ended.

I remember how much controversy this episode raised when it first aired in Japan, haha, people didn't know what the hell was going on in regards to the next series.

I really liked how PUSA handled the dialouge and everything. All the May/Drew scenes were written extremely well, and its a nice climax to the 4 year rivalry they've been having on the show. (that we get to see, anyway)

Haha, Harley proves he is the best rival on this show. I loved his line to Jessie.

Harley: So you always want to be a loser? Get out of your rut, hun!

Jessie: I like my rut very much, thank you!

Of course the nostalgia in this episode was nice, from the footprints of Ash's old Pokes, Misty lure, and of course Gary. Episodes like this really make you realize how long this show has gone on, and how many characters it has now. (And it adds many more new characters in D/P as well)

All in all a nice way to wrap up the loose ends of AG before it ended, and give May a happy ending. Yay.
 
May: "Harley showed Team Rocket they overstayed their welcome by randomly attacking them and provoking them!"

Brock: "Good! Let them damn villains DIE!"
Ash: "OH YEAH! Harley used violence, let's forgive him!
Max: "....he's my boyfriend now".
 
PUSA gave Harley more gay lines than 4kids ever gave him. Its almost like they've been reading the forums. :D

There are some things Harley said that seem to be literally lifted from SPP.
 
Gary: "It's the *insert Elekible's english name here* BITCH!"
