Because other people are sleeping in, apparently; review "The Champ Twins" pls.

Oh...

You started the thread before me.

I didn't see this, so I'll just delete the one I made. ^^;

Yeah, it sure was!! ^_^

Argument scenes are always great comedy for an episode. XD

Sound Man #1 of Sinnoh Now needs more luv... So unappreciated! D; Yeah that's what I will refer to him because I didn't pay attention if they said his name or not.

Rhonda reminds me of Tucker for some reason. Maybe it's the hair.

Bandanna kid with the Lombre sounds like he sucked up some helium.

"Tag" battles? Too much to say "two on two"? "Tag" makes it sound like it'd be one trainer at a time.

Wait, why is Jack even holding the mic if he can't keep it up as long as required? How'd he get that job if he's not qualified?

Looks like they're sticking with "no need to worry" as Dawn's catchphrase.

So, um...how come all the sandwiches I see in anime have stark white bread, no crust, and indeterminate fillings save for some lettuce? Seriously, they all look the same.

"I think I get your drift!" Sorry James, that would have been great *last* episode.

"Maybe it's the herbal shampoo I'm using!" You know, if James had said the same thing under 4Kids, people would have been mad and called it a "stereotypically gay" line.

Wait, was Jesse crying out of only one eye?

Curses. I thought the twins had differently-colored hair, but it turned out it was just my TV's discolored spot.

See, I'd have double teamed on Quilava to take it out first, since Croconaw wouldn't be super effective against either.

Wait, was Jesse crying out of only one eye?
Trade secret of acting, donchaknow.

o_O So we gots Ryan: short hair with the Quilava, and most likely the psychological leader of the two. And Bryan: long hair with the Croconaw, and so obviously the follower of the pair.

...Gawd I thought their whole...'made-up-and-exaggerate-their-words' thing was ear-bleeding. But I'll loan it to being a young boy thing.

Cowgirl Jessie is sexy. Sound Man Jack was adorable. ^_^; But the mailroom sounds like less abuse than Rhonda. Go back to your old job, man, before she skins you.

And here's the game-vs-anime nitpick of the day: yer not supposed to be able to avoid Swift! D: *a la Walter* Dumbasses.

All anime character don't like the crusts? xD

The mic guy makes me laugh. xD

Those twins! They sounded like Shippou (although only one of them is actually done by Shippou's seiyuu, apparantly) in the Japanese version. They got on my nerves after a while.

What are twins' dub names?

Before this episode, I hoped that their names will be Auric & Auron. But I think they made up something more random for them.

And what is Yuuka's dub name?

EDIT: Nevermind. I didn't notice. Ryan and Bryan. Common. But not bad. We needed a Ryan.

EDIT2:

RHONDA? No! God! No! No! NO! We already had one. I hate repeats. And it was the last name I could think for her. Don't like.

Ash and Dawn argued like brother and sister. And they're Pokemon were arguing like they were siblings, too. Ah, sibling rivalries. even though Ash and Dawn aren't related, they argued like they were. Boy if I was Ash, I'd be a little embaressed with Dawn and her hair

I'm glad the writers are giving some older Pokemon better spotlight, especially the Johto starters since they didn't get ANY spotlight in Johto until the very end. Croconaw has been in like 1 episode the entire series until now. What horrible treatment of Pokemon we had back then.

The battles are mostly good, I notice recently the CG-i try to spruce up the battles to make them look more impressive than they did before. It works sometimes, I suppose.

Dawn was funny. Her arguments seem a lot more realistic than the stuff we had in the past.

Honestly... the twins reminded me of AJ and his Sandshrew. Maybe it's the green hair, or the "we've won _____ battles in a row!"

It just felt so... done already.

She's a sucker for good looks, she stops three times to fix her hair. Boy, that was uneeded in the episode

I sorta kinda fell asleep and woke up right to see Ryan and Brian saying thanks for beating TR but they won't hold back. And I wanted to scream when that swift missed arrgh. I actually preffered the driftloon ep from what I saw of this one and I love double battles and strategy.

"Champ Twins"? Can we say a major punch in the gut to 4Kids?

Turtwig and Piplup beating the living day lights out of one another was the best part of this episode (especially the music that went with it). Other than that it was rather meh. Cowgirl Jessie and Jack hitting people with the mic was neat but got old after half a second.

No, I don't think they've played that version of Dawn's theme before.

I noticed that, and was very surprised by it! I like that song! ^^

Of course, I could be wrong and they may have played it once before. If they did, I don't remember what episode it might've been in, however. Mogoldmember's a lot better with the BGM stuff than I am. This is a good question for him. XD

I can't wait to see what he has to say about the music in this episode! I thought it was awesome how they kept a good number of BGM! And also, the Pokemon USA/4Kids music that they used was as good as always.

I forgot, has PUSA kept the Dawn's Theme instrumental before (The one played as Turtwig and Piplup were beating Carnivine and Seviper)?

Is that the ending theme? If so, they have kept it before, but it was the slow version done just with the piano - I remember hearing it in the episode where Dawn goes out on the balcony just before her first contest, and the episode where she caught Pachirisu when she released it.

I really don't understand why people are so surprised with Swift missing. You guys are acting as if that's never happened before, when it has, many times.

Actually, only the GameFAQs game elitists really blow it out of proportion.
