Ash and friends make it to Eterna Forest and eventually meet Cheryl, who is searching for the "terribly sweet" honey that Combee's produce and a Burmy to help her find it.

I *just* saw the Japanese version of this episode a few days ago. And it's basically the Sinnoh of "The Problem with Paras."

But the ultra-mega-creepy boss fantasy makes up for that ^^;;

Great episode, nice throwback to "The Problem with Paras". I was hoping that Pika would do it's thunder-spark again but oh well. :/

Reminiscing is great.

Of course, the episode had a good deal of it's own lines that continue to push James' obscurity.
Jessie:"I'm impressed with Meowth's mojo."

Nuh, there's regular honey and there's "special" honey that Cheryl's simply looking for. She used the regular for the honey tree. Which was damn cool-looking, I think.


CHERYL! *_* If you won't touch the hands of a man when you've touched a bug-type or on the day a Burmy evolves, will you touch the hands of a woman? Namely mine? Or Gardenia's? *_*

So it looks like they're really getting comfortable with Sarah, at least enough to give her another pogey to voice.

But....*happy flailing* CherylCherylCheryl! You're so lost on the road to life. Let me lead you? 8D To a wedding chapel? Or to Gardenia, at least?

Hey, was it me or was Meowth's fantasy cut?

Well, regardless, I loved the ep, because I love Cheryl. Team Rocket (namely Wobba) was also great in it.

Is it just me, or does Burmy sound different here than in the 1st episode?
Dawn was pretty much ignored for the entire episode
Does Cheryl believe anything her grandfather says?
Carnivine was boring and useless again.
Burmy is stronger than it should be. Seriously, a freshly captured Burmy should be weak as hell.
The gangs pokemon healed themselves without a Pokemon Center.
Wormadam cheering for Burmy was really, really cheesy.
The ending felt kind of rushed, following Mothim to some random honey? Right now we don't even know if its the Amber Castle. We just know that there is honey somewhere.
I missed the part where Cheryl explains why she wants the Super-Honey, can someone inform me of the reason?
God damn, I'm sick of double-battles. We had Three double battle last episode (1st match, VS Team Rocket, and Rematch against the Champ Twins.) We don't need any more.

Hmmm, I think that's about it.

I was interested in seeing that fantasy, too.

Actually, I was waiting for it to appear in the episode, but I guess they decided not to show it for some reason.


I don't get it though. Why would they take out the boss fantasy? Was there anything bad in it this time? O.O



Hmm....

This was a decent episode.

I didn't really have a favorite part. I liked Cheryl though. And the battle scenes and the music was great too (they used 4Kids songs this time). I noticed a lot of BGM from the 8th movie.

Also, Wobbuffet was really cool in this episode.


And apparently Ash's Turtwig loves to win so much, that it couldn't let Burmy defeat it. It just had to win! ^_^



Anyway though, I was hoping this episode was gonna be better, but it didn't turn out that way. I liked "The Problem With Paras" more than this episode.

So it looks like they're really getting comfortable with Sarah, at least enough to give her another pogey to voice.

Did Sarah do Burmy's voice?

I couldn't tell. Then again, I can never tell who does the Pokemon voices. ^^;



Anyway, while Sarah's Pokemon voices are good, her Ash is a different story though.


I swear, it seemed like Sarah's Ash voice wasn't so great this time. The voice sounded very forced. And other than that, I'm not sure what else was "off" about the voice. But as for the acting, I think Sarah's slipping up with the emotion again. It was obvious with this episode, because I found myself cringing at the majority of Ash's lines (it could've also been because of how the script was written though). And also, I think Ash's last line, "That's awesome!" (or whatever it was) sounded like it didn't have much emotion at all.

A bunch of pokemon pile up on Gio because he's covered in honey or something. I guess the innuendo was too much for them. Is this the biggest edit that TAJ has made, or was there another one?

The Boss Fantasy is basically..."We can smother Sakaki in honey so he'll attract all kinds of pokemon!"

The opening scene to "Drifloon On The Wind!" was removed.

So in other words, it was similar to the scene from "A Better Pill To Swallow", where a bunch of Pokemon were attracted to Team Rocket, because they drank the Shuckle juice.



Wow, after seeing the pic that Dogasu posted, I can understand why they cut that scene. Maybe that was a bit much for Pokemon USA to handle.

And I guess 4Kids was just more tolerant of stuff like that.

I knew it would be cut, but stiiiill. It was so disturbing, it's almost sad to see it go. ^^;

No, they didn't have honeyed-up Bosses in the Shuckle episode. So it is different. It is pretty funny to see Giovanni have Meowth's voice though so, it's kinda of a shame. "Boid Pokemon" indeed.

No but that episode had plenty of tentacle rape goodness.

I would have liked to see that too. Yet another view into Meowth's sick little mind. But PUSA proves they're wusses.
