I'm putting this up for later. Your thoughts on the first new ep of Battle Dimension.

God, the OPENING SUCKS ASS!

I won't be able to watch it till later, but there's my placeholder.

Sounds good! And don't worry, the thread's only about a half hour early.

Anyway, I'm excited to see this premiere! I can't wait to see what happens in this episode! ^_^

Hopefully, it will have a good opening. I think that's what most people are worried about (along with the BGM being kept, of course).

Personally, I'd like to see eyecatches appear in the dub again. I don't understand why we couldn't have those with season 9 and 10.

I'm watching it rigght now. So far it looks really good. The animation is simply amazing and fast paced. Nice continuiy on the Seviper and Zangoose rivarly. It's back on. Post later.

But did the opening show new footage?
No new footage, but wow...looks like PUSA is definitely listening to the fanbase. Taking out those stupid "POKEMON!" shouts during the opening made it sound so much better--very, very, nice if I do say so myself. I also like how they added the credits. For some reason it just made it look so much more clean and fresh...

Dang. If we give them one more nudge, I think we might just get that dubbed opening we've all been hoping for.

Lol. We'll that's nice to know. Can't wait to see this eppy later.

"We Will be Heroes" with a remixed set of clips from Together, with credits. It's nice. Doggone it with Chimchar being shown real friendship hitting some special spot within me. They kept the scratch. It was an ok ep, nice elaboration on Chimchar's past.

My thoughts:

*New opening song is the same as movie 10's, but it's now sung by, le GASP!, a girl! Doesn't sound too bad, but not too great, either. Plus, they now have some credits in the opening, which is new (I'm not really digging the font, though).

*Grr, Piplup still sounds lame, and likely will forever... But unlike the tag battles, they finally kept Zangoose's original voice. And if I'm not mistaken, Mime Jr. sounds remarkably like Kayzie Rogers again, so maybe...

*Interesting, they kept Meowth's theme in that scene.

*OK, credits time! The instrumentals of the theme are quite good, but I thought the same of season 10's as well. In voices, we've got the main cast, and in additional voices, we have Julian Reboledo (Paul), as well as Kayzie Rogers (they actually used that name, no more pseudonyms for her, and no more stock Wobbufett/Michele Knotz-Mime Jr.!) and Emily Williams (but there were no other humans today; maybe, Staravia...?)

*Bill Rogers is on script timing now as well; good for him! And we still have James Carter Cathcart on script adaptation (though, as he/Billy Beach/Jimmy Zoppi are all the same guy, it shouldn't be surprising). Plus there's Tom Wayland in direction, and other peeps.

Yay! Together sceens! (I've come to love that song). Chimchar again makes me want to cry.

great opening, great episode.

But I have a question to ask,
can anybody remember what pieces of Japanese BGM was kept?

Someone on SPP claimed to have not known Pokemon were able to come out of their Pokeballs on their own, despite the fact that we've seen it happen dozens of times before. -_-

The opening was okay, it's still to short but I like the Together clips. As for the episode itself, it was great! I really like this episode with Chimchar's development and battle against Zangoose and the Seviper/Zangoose rivalry.

Overall, I liked it!

For us non-americans, the opening is on youtube now --> http://youtube.com/watch?v=jJT3B8jG-ZE

Low quality though.

I really liked the opening, the clips were well mixed in my opinion. The only things I don't like is them showing clips from together, again :/

Off the top of my head, I know they kept the instrumental version of Meowth's song. It was great hearing this in the dub again, even though it was only the BGM. I'm pretty sure they haven't used this song since "Go West Young Meowth".

I noticed that they also played a track from Pokemon Sound Anime Collection, though I'm not sure what the name of the song was (they may have played a few more tracks as well). ^^;

The opening was awesome! Personally, I think the credits added to the overall look and feel of the dub opening (reminds me of how they have the credits on the Japanese openings). And of course, I really like the new mix of "We Will Be Heroes". I like this version of the song better than the one played in The Rise of Darkrai.

Anyway, the episode itself was really good. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this episode more than I thought I would originally! And that's saying something! :-)

The script for this episode was written very well, actually. And I liked many of the characters' lines. In particular, I was very impressed with some of Ash's lines! (and that's all I can say about that subject, for obvious reasons) XD

Oh, and I also liked the BGM! I think this episode used both Pokemon USA music and some Japanese music too.

Best opening in a long time.

I can't see how anyone can dislike it. It's certainly one of the better openings we've had.

Well I didn't like it. It was too bland for my liking (the opening).

And what is with the waterskis ay?

Now that's a good opening. Can this please get released as a single? Pity the opening wasn't longer (about a minute would have been good), but this is one HELL of an improvement over that bloody rap that was Season 10's theme. Awesome.
