Well, one thing's for sure in this episode and that is that TR is playing a large part in it. They better not Botch this up.

Sounds like Hippowdon's daying "down, down, down" as it's digging down... Bill Rogers' voice, I believe.

Sheesh, Cassidy sounds way too much like Zoey and Jenny combined. Ugh, triple casting...

Granbull has a DUB voice now?! YARGH!!! Totally unforgivable...

Herb Lawrence (Mike Pollock) was credited; what for?

Also, after managing to catch the credits for the Gligar ep, I noticed there were two additional VA credits, with Tom Wayland and Alexander Werenko(?). One of them probably played Gliscor, but who would the other one have been?

And the standard Ground type lecture go. Butch, Cassidy, and Nanba. TR Mech fight XD. Why didn't Hippowdon attack earlier? That was ok.
 
OK, what the hell? This episode only kept like four pieces of music (five if you count Team Rocket's start-up motto music), which is BULLSHIT because of all of the music that was replaced - the Diamond & Pearl gym battle song, the final rival battle theme, Team Rocket's Johto music, Team Rocket's Sinnoh music (during the battle between the two TRs), Satoshi's new theme, the Diamond & Pearl route music - ALL of these are "standard" and kept in like every other damn episode but I guess PUSA decided they weren't being enough of assholes this week.

EDIT: I will say one thing positive - "Professor Fanboy?" XD

Well, Takeda's animation just brought this episode way down.

Random way to release all of your Pokemon in a desert.

Hippowdon was digging WAYYY too many times.

Like the Rhydon robot Butch and Cassidy had.

Her VA sounds MILES better than her last one.

Not to mention their mottos sounds good too. Like how they said at the end they were the real TR.=)

So JJM aren't the ones who were meant to be in Sinnoh after all. That's pretty cold.

Poor Professor Namba. He only says the same two words. It's pretty funny though.

Butch still has his mane mispronounced and everything.

I like the fact that the twerps just stayed out of TR's little fight.

So they kept the weird sound effects in the motto. Cool.

The balloon makes a little face when they blast off.

Jessie, you're such a liar. That robot does not cause 12 dollars. More like 1200. It looks pretty awful too.

Who says Pokemon is sexist? Those girls were in control of that fight the whole time.

Odd that they replaced the extended TR BGM. I mean it would have just suited their pokemon battle perfectly.

I just realized hown ugly Hippowodon looked.

And the episode ends with Namba.

Yash, it's understandable they replaced TR's Johto BGM. I mean, it's too much of a reminder fo the past in these new series. Also, probably because of the fact that they already have a TR BGM.
 
Granbull with a dub voice... Honestly, I could go nuts; even 4Kids kept it's voice. And after all that hope I had from Zangoose...
 
*face palm* I was really hoping. Really hoping. Are all past characters with somewhat scratchy voices going to be regulated to Zoppi now? Lame and cheap. Anyway.

I think this episode is a set-up. They've come across two random deserts, and both had our friend Hippopotas (I loved what Jessie called it this time around). I think there will be a third episode with a random desert, and Ash will finally catch it.

Other than that, I'm absolutely fascinated and horrified that Hippowdon's blowholes are all interconnected and Pachirisu could move freely between them, respectively. Hippowdon's awesome (I love its 'don don don' as it buries back in the sand), but I don't even want to think about its even weirder-than-usual physiology.

You simply heard wrong. They had twelve months to pay the Slowbro mech off, not that it cost twelve bucks.

Seriously. o.o Hippopotas's cuteness makes up for it, though.

So the twerps are moving slower than a herd of migrating desert hippos? XD I'm guessing that Hippowodonn is Hoppopotas's father, but how come we didn't see it last time? Has it evolved since then? Or was this just some random Hippowodon that Hippopotas stumbled upon and joined up with?

I like Butch and Cassidy's new motto, as well as Butch's new SHuckle being their new mascot. It's funny to see Namba's power to tell when his name is being mispronounced is a new recurring joke.

Lmao, war of the mechas. How did TRio get that Slowbro bot so quickly?

Okay, Pachirisu went from Hippowodon's mouth to its back to it nostril. Ew. XD And then Dawn goes and hugs it, thus making me imagine Dawn covered in hippo mucus. o.o;
 
Today's episode was alright, I did like that Cassidy and Butch showed up again. It was also nice to see that Hippopotas again too. Can't wait for next week's episode.

I liked how Namba kept popping up, every time Cassidy mispronounced his name. LOL. XD!!

It was cool to see Team Rocket battle with Butch and Cassidy again, first with the robots and later with their Pokemon.


Aww, that Hippopotas is so cute! It was great how we got to see it again. =D

I also hope Ash will catch that Hippopotas at some point. It does look like the writers are foreshadowing something.

Sarah was actually pretty good in the first half of this episode. I liked the pitch of her Ash voice. It was much higher than her usual Ash voice! ^^

Although, sadly, in the second half of the episode, Sarah changed the pitch of her Ash voice, so it sounded the way it normally does (dull, boring, and generic sounding). =(

I liked Cassidy's voice. It reminded me of her original voice. As for Butch, ugh, I don't like his voice at all. I prefer his original voice, which was done by Eric Stuart.
 
I really want Ash to replace Turtwig w/ Hippopotas. Gliscor just complicates things. The voice acting seemed phoned in today. For sure. This would be Sudowoodo's last appearance for 8 episodes.
 
Did Butch/Cassidy sound the same as their previous appearance to anyone else?
 
Did they just use the term FANBOY?

The big mecha war seemed kinda monotonous if you ask me.

I really want Ash to catch that Hippopotas.
 
I think I'm one of the few people that really liked this episode when it first aired. However, like every time we focus on Team Rocket, PUSA decided to throw the script out the window and just make stuff up.

First is the name thing. Much like the first Hippopotas episode, when people mispronounced peoples names, sometimes they weren't even close. Thankfully people were only way off a few times.

Why does PUSA refuse to call Butch Botch? It really baffles me why they use everything but that one name.

Jessie once again isn't anywhere close to Hippopotas' name, but to make matters worse we get Meowth calling her a melon head, and James saying that's being kind. Ouch James. Don't you think that was a bit much? Of course, Team Rocket insulting each other is nothing new, but it really stands out when there's a lot of Team Rocket focus.

I'm glad PUSA kept that cool echo effect during the motto, but it really works best if they actually say the correct lines while it's in effect.

And now for something that really baffles me. Cassidy had a line where she said something to the effect of she can easily make herself look bad. What the hell PUSA? WHY would she insult herself like that? That's even worse then her Team Nitwit line from that Battle Frontier episode.

Originally when the Rocket-Dan blasted off at the end, Kosaburo mistook ya na kanji for Kosanji, the name everyone calls him. I thought it was really funny, and I knew PUSA wouldn't translate that joke, but I thought they'd at least try to put something funny in there.

Could Dawn have sounded any less worried when Pachirisu fell in Hippowodon's mouth? I usually don't have any complaints about her acting, but her lack of emotion really bothered me.

I also agree that Cassidy sounds WAY too much like Zoey and Jenny. But at least we don't hear her enough for it to really matter. And every time I listen to Butch's voice it makes me wonder what the hell 4Kids was thinking when they gave him that awful smoker's voice.

Even though I wasn't too keen on the dub, I still eagerly await the next Butch and Cassidy episode. I have a felling the writers are going somewhere with this. We already know Giovanni has no clue who Jessie, James, and Meowth are. Adding this in makes me think this is all leading up to something.

Me too, but I hope and pray that they actually keep the Sinnoh TR extended motto theme for their battle next time. I mean, the guitar theme seriously killed the suspense of the battle.
