It's the beginning of November and the wait is finally over, the Ranger 2 eps are here.

Yay! It's part 1 of the Riolu episodes!

All I can say is, it's about time! XD

That, and of course, I'm very interested to hear more information about Ash's Aura. ^_^

Also, I really hope they did a good job on this episode, cause I've been looking forward to seeing it.

Since it's not sure this is part of the season- I'd like to know if there are any hints... did they make everything like a normal episode? (opening song, usual episode title screen, etc)
Also if someone can find a summary on the schedule or something that tell us the official episode number it'd help too

Odd...Serebii had this airing on the 11th.

"The J is for Jerk." Never have I laughed so loud at a dub joke.

All I know is now I want to train a Lucario.

Ash's Aura sense returns? How in the world does Brock know what kind of styler it is? Brock must know everything. :p Kellen? Impressive, there is more to Ash's abilities than I thought. Solana cameo. This is intense, Hunter J rocks! Very good ep.

Now I haven't seen the raw, but... was the BGM left untouched? 'Cause it sure sounded like it. If so, epic win.

Kellyn's voice was so manly and hot. And here I was expecting it to be boyish. Riolu's was good too, I'm assuming that's its Japanese voice. Was I mishearing things, or had Solana's and J's voices change since we last saw them?

...also, is commenting on voice acting allowed when there's no bitching involved? x.x

Yay for Ash's Auraness. Yay for the epicness of this storyline. Yay for Solana's cameo. Yay for the music. Yay for J setting a forest on fire (she's so evil, I love it!). This episode's great.

Wow, the animation is simply excellent, especially for Hunter J.

At first, I thought Riolu wanted to be with the researchers. Until they refer to it as RX-1 or something like that, heh.

Hmm, I would have thought that guy would have recogonized Ash since he battled with him before.

And all of the Gobat evolve into Crobat, heh.

lol, it was so funny hearing their screams of terror at falling into a hole heh.

So Riolou was being owned by an old guy.

And it's also funny to hear their reactions to J too.

J must hgave ridden on Salamance forever to ahve that sort of balance.

eeek. That smile J made was pretty scary. Almost looked like a smile a murderer would make.

lol at Team Rocket nearly getting burned alive, good thing they were smart enough to dig more into the hole.

Good episode, I must say. Did they keep all or most of the music for this one?

Can someone answer? especially the episode's official number will help... check the TV schedules! the ones I found online didn't have a number...

Did they dub Riolu? I sure hope not... it was so cute in the Japanese version!

XD Omg, was that Michael Sinterniklaas as Kellyn? *insert squeal here*

Jessie calling J a 'hussy' made me double-take back to the CC to see if I heard right. I did, but...hussy's one of those touch-and-go words for me personally. The kind that probably shouldn't be in a Saturday cartoon...but I was amused anyway.

And does ANYONE think it's gone on too long for Mr. Righthandman-of-J's to not have a name by now? It's upsetting. D: He is awesome, therefore should have a name. Nameless characters make me cry.

And Vatonage is a sexy word. ...Jackie would have made it sexier. *idle musing*

They had the opening song, different title music but same screen.

Can't help you on the episode numbering and all heh.

Thanks
I think the Japanese also had different music for title screen... so seems like it was handled like a regular episode
Just to get a number now will help to confirm this... if it has a number than it's part of the season (and it'd also help us know where the episode is officially placed- the order it aired now or how it should have been)

Mike Sinterniklaas (or whoever) did a good job as Kellyn, I never thought 4Kids used him as much as they should have =(

I guess "hussy" is Team Rocket's nickname for J in the dub from now on.

Good episode, I was kind of bored watching it in Japanese since I couldn't tell what was going on >.>

Oh and the bgm was left COMPLETELY untouched. All of the music, the silence, even the episode title music which usually isn't kept. I'm sure this is only an exception and we'll go back to the usual keeping-8-pieces-at-most formula on the 15th, but it's still pretty awesome.

That's good to hear, Movie 5 was my favorite movie, I'm glad that they used some if it's BGM, and that PUSA had kept all of it :)

BUT, I couldn't watch the episode, because my brother was watching a biography on Barack Obama

uh...no.

I hope that's true and not another "Dawn's Early Night" thing where everyone said that all the music was kept when it actually wasn't.

Well, I'd consider the presidential election to be a bit more important than the Pokemon anime >.>

There was literally no American-made music, except for We Will Be Heroes as the theme song. Not to mention there was constant silence. The episode was completely untouched.

To further support this, Manny Corallo (the music editor/composer for the PUSA dub) wasn't mentioned anywhere in the credits.

Yeah, I figured as much.... ^^;

Anyway, this was a VERY good episode, for the most part. It had awesome animation and a story that was really intriguing.

My favorite scenes were, of course, all the parts where we find out more about Aura in general. I love the concept of Aura! And it's so interesting how Ash can feel Riolu's Aura like that! ^^

And by the way, I love how they kept all of the music!! It was so nice to hear BGM from Pokemon Heroes, and the 8th movie (I love the music from the Lucario movie!). Also, I'm pretty sure I heard some BGM from Destiny Deoxys as well. <3<3

Aww, man, I wanna know what happens next! This is so intense! =O You know, CN should've aired both episodes together. Because I really don't wanna wait a whole week to find out what happens next. *is impatient* XD

I can't comment on the dub version of this episode as I have yet to see it, but PUSA keeping all of the background music (including the title screen music) is surprising. Strange how they didn't do that with the Pokemon Ranger and Deoxys special yet did it with this one.

I have been, and still am, confused on the English name Nintendo of America gave Hajime - he's a game character so PUSA weren't the ones who chose the name - Kellyn which is a girl's name. It is not a unisex name, searching for it on the internet, the only gender shown was female. Had it been Kellen I wouldn't be scratching my head at it because Kellen is a boy's name.

Cool to see that they kept all bgm untouched. Now, if they only would do it with all 'normal' episodes the dub would actually be watchable.

Quite frankly, no.

Oh come on, it peaked my interest. Anyways I couldn't get around watching the whole episode, but what I did see was pretty good.

I agree. These elections are literally make or break for us. Anyway, it was on A&E at 9:00, and lasted an hour. :-(
