Ash takes on Crasher Wake in today's horribly animated epiosde.

Lol, Gyarados didn't stand a chance. Two double weaknesses in row. Oh man, now I pity Turtwig since I know it loses its speed. Ice missile again. I beg to differ, Crasher Wake. No floaty can do that. Pika can't do it, but Bui can? And the inexplicable KO commences. That was an ok ep. I dunno, maybe I look into the battle mechanics too much.

ugh....ugh....ugh I want to slap the guy who thinks that this animator is good.... It's so distracting from tghe episode.

hmm, I'm surprised Team Rocket feels so comfortable in mud, I wouldn't lol.

Poor Meowth getting thrown in like that...

And the horror of the animation is evident in the twerp's Pokemon. They look so freakin' static.

Like how Buizel gets mad like that.

If you do a GIF of Buizel and Turtwig at the right angle, it looks as though Turtwig is giving head.....yeah.

Hmmm, Floatzel looks bad too.

I wouldn't have expected the refree to look like he does. Half expecting him to be wrestler-like too.

Wow, that is perhaps the most pathetic Gyrados I've ever seen. Shold have puut up a better fight.

I like how Quagsire uses the ripples where Turtwig have been landing to use Sludge Bomb.

Energy Ball for nothing heh.

Ice Aqua Jet again, and it looks as though it actually worked.

Enjoyable? I would be killing myself on the inside after all of my Pokemon and none of his Pokemon losing.

Water move on a water Pokemon? Reeeeal smart.

Haven't heard this PUSA piece in a long time. Uncomfortably long with the BUizel/Floatzel battle.

Would have expected Ice Fang to actually bite the Pokemon.

Static crash.....

Why in the hell does Ash not switch the battle earlier with Pikachu.

strongest......let's not get carried away Wake.

What IS Wobuffet rubbing on Jessie's face.

Heh, the ending was pretty funny for some reason.

Bad Gym Battle, God-awful animation, good TR scenes. Seriously, Wake should have taken out at least one of Ash's Pokemon.

What a fun episode!
Other then the pathetic animation it was an acceptable contribution to the series... I liked the variation of the ice aqua jet and it was fun to see Ash battle a Gym leader without losing a single pokemon!

Animation bad, episode good. It's better than animation good, episode bad.

I've always liked Maximum Mask/Crasher Wake. He's my favorite of the Sinnoh group. It's nice to see him get a good old knock down drag out fight in Ash's gym match against him.

The people complaining about Floatzel's floaters, remember, their not plastic, their skin so they'd be more like leather. I thought it was a creative way of using this unique feature.

And I laughed at Gyarados' knock out pose.

The only thing I didn't liked about this ep is that Ash didn't lose anny pokemon, I mean whats a gym battle where the trainer jsut wins like that without losing any pokemon.

Why can't Ash clean sweep a Gym leader? We do it all the time in the games.

Not every Gym match has to go down to both sides last Pokemon. Things should be made more interesting where Ash doesn't have to use all his Pokemon.

Yeah the animation was shoddy, and this is easily the worst Sinnoh Gym battle, (Fantina's is a masterpiece compared to this), but it was ok.

*wild flaily* Do we have a VA for his judge? ;.; It's familiar and driving me nuts.

Exactly. I actually dislike the fact that almost every important battle of Ash's comes down to his last Pokemon. Nice to have a battle like this every now and then.

I was distracted in the beginning because I couldn't figure out why Brock was wearing that blue shirt, but then I remembered he was wearing it at the Croagunk Festival. Nice bit of continuity there.

I did feel Ash won a bit too easily, but like Scott said, it happens all the time in the games. The whole Pikachu/Buizel rivalry thing felt a bit forced though... I don't remember them having a problem getting along before. Animation seemed a bit stiff, but it wasn't HORRIBLE. I've seen plenty of other episodes that looked worse.

Overall, it was an okay, though forgettable, episode. Too bad, I think Wake's a great character. Perhaps we'll see him again down the line.

I don't know about everyone, but I really liked the episode. I don't know about the animation though, but then again, I don't pay attention to it much.

The good old days. Anybody notice the music at the beginning of the battle?
-What happened at the beginning? What started the feud between Buizel and Pikachu?

Overall, it was a pretty good episode.

Dawn and Brock's comments were pretty unneeded. "Water type moves are weak against water type Pokemon because Water type Pokemon resist water type moves!"

It seemed like they were trying to stretch the episode out to 22 minutes.

Only 19 episodes until Fantina's epic battle gets dubbed!

Why does CN insist on airing crappy live action movies?
(Actually, Spiderman 1 was good, but I suspect it will be edited.)

Is it really necessary to have a music count in every single thread?

Unfortunately, this is the Pokémon fandom. Where everyone is absolutely anal about everything. music count, japanese names, game to anime adaptation, character roles, Jotho, Misty... Everything.

We must suck the fun out of everything before we can enjoy it.

Meh, this was a decent episode. Okay, but not great....

Anyway, nice gym battle! And I have to admit that, I didn't expect Ash to win a badge without losing any of his Pokemon. Wow, that's a new and interesting concept! O.O

*wild flaily* Do we have a VA for his judge? ;.; It's familiar and driving me nuts.
Yeah, he sounds familiar to me too. =O

Although, I'm assuming the judge was Tim Werenko, since he was listed in the credits under "Additional voices".

Uh...I was just answering Luna Tiger's question. O_O

Last time I checked, VA facts were allowed. It's VA opinions and general discussion that's banned. Anyway, if I'm wrong, then I'm sure a staff member will come and correct me.
