Review S11 EP32: Hungry for the Good Life!

I am liking the episode. First one I've seen in forever. I like the sounds Yanmega makes, he's really cool. But I feel the show is getting lazy. Dawn and Ash lept onto the rocket ship at the sametime, and mirrored each other untill Ash fell...
But otherwise, I like it.
 
Heh, the animation is really good.

Brock was getting really freaky this time around lol.

Does that guy always laugh at everything he says.

Heh, that Swinub seems so cute sometimes, eating that food.

Heh, like how Jessie blows off James' little monolouge lol.

And of course, Ash's poffin stinks.

Like the motto, though the music seems a bit lower than the Japaense version.

Mime.Jr is ALIVE. Thought it would be dead or something lol with the amount of screentime it gets.

Heh, 'Does this disco pose give a hint'. Interesting.

I would have expected Dawn, not Ash, to fall.

Why do you see Piplup in an apple?

Heh, they kept movie 6 music. Good.

Good to see Yanmega again.

I wonder if they accidently left Maskuipaa's voice in that thunderbolt scene. Sorta seems like it.

Looks like Swinub is coming along. And based on the Japenese version, this episode is the only one where oit actually does something notable.

heh good episode, though Team Rocket and Swinub made it better.
 
Cleffa? Romantic? :p Parade of baby pokemon go. Evil Dawn team is win. We need May's Purple Surprise right now, not Poffins. Ash still can't cook. You're going to exhaust yourself that way, Dawn. :p Yanmega's back. Of course Ash shows up to ensure Dawn doesn't entirely get to be the hero. That was okay, I guess.
 
They used the "R" word. Not only did we SEE rice balls but they CALLED them rice balls. The reign of terror of 4Kids is really over.
 
Swinub is so adorable! I like how Dawn was not upstaged despite Ash jumping in to help!
 
I found Mr. Backlot to be very annoying. :/

Whoa, did she just mention Pokémon Watchers? When was the last time that happened?

Swinub's adorable. :3 Jeez, the twerps' Pokémon have really grown in size and in quantity.

That's right, Dawn, Team Rocket do only speak gibberish. The overwhelming majority of their lines suck. It's a damn shame to see them mishandled this badly with only one good line here or there.

Thank Arceus Ash and Dawn have the ability to jump fifteen feet into the air!

To everyone who says Brock could easily be kicked out of the series if Ash would learn to cook: Ash can't cook worth crap. :D Silly Ash, I can relate.

Not a very good episode. The only good part was Swinub.

Not really. Dawn called it out in the Psyduck Roadblock episode to try and Dig under them, but the Psyduck caught it.
 
I liked this one. It wasn't too bad. I liked the part when Swinub upsets all the Pokemon, and then refused to eat Ash's poffins, which soon Ash fell in the ground.

I didn't get at all Piplup and the apple. It didn't make sense to me how an apple reminded Piplup, I don't think Piplup ate many apples before. If it was a poffin or something then it would made more sense.

I don't know, but was Monica voiced by Lisa Ortiz? Her voice sounded so familiar, and couldn't catch on the credits since the stupid Star War Clones was in the way. Just want a yes or no.

Piplup's head is round just like an apple.

Which I thought was pretty obvious when the shape of Piplup's head appearing in the apple clearly matched the apple's shape.

The only thing similiar is the fact they both to like eat food. But beyond that, no they are as similar as Apples are to Oranges. In order for it to be clone, it has to have the same personality, same attacks, and same everything.
 
I use 'clone' loosely. You know what I mean, a character that is relatively useless and likes to eat. They both follow things with their noses!
 
The line "Swinub is mine! All mine!" Didn't sit right with me. Not only it sounded rushed...but also slightly out of character.
 
OMG.

The lady who worked at the mansion, Monika, was voiced by Lisa Ortiz. I can tell, because it sounds exactly like her. XD

Lisa Ortiz is awesome! ^__^

Hearing her voice again was so wonderful! And for me, Lisa Ortiz voicing Monika was the best part of this episode! =D

"Pokemon Paparazzi" from season one, and "A Tail With A Twist" from Pokemon Advanced both say hello. XD

You know, 4Kids sometimes kept the rice balls and also called them rice balls.

So they didn't remove them all the time like everyone thinks. Not that 4Kids' edits ever bothered me. Looking for edits, that's not why I watch the Pokemon dub. I also don't watch the show to compare it to the Japanese version, I watch it to enjoy it (or at least, try really hard to enjoy it, such is the case with the Pokemon USA dub).

Rice balls have appeared and been referred to as such in past PUSA episodes. There's no reason to be dramatic about it now.

Is this the first time they've never translated "daijoubu" before? I know it was called other things early on, but I believe it was always translated.

You know PUSA, instead of making fun of the way Team rocket talks you could...I don't know...have them talk like normal people?

Swinub is really cute. It's a shame we wont see it much, but maybe once it evolves it'll be shown more.

Now I believe we're at the episode where we don't see Mime Jr. for a long time. Poor little mime. :-(

Speaking of neglected pokemon, a cute little bunny finally gets some focus next week. Hooray! :)

Edit: Oops. Forgot about Gligar. The bunny is in two weeks.

It's been traslated as "No need to worry!" since about DP 25 or 26, either of those Kenny episodes.

hmmm, I guess this is just a dub problem then lol since 4kids sorta did it too. At least PUSA's TR puns aren't so predictable and annoying. Though they need to slow down when they talk, heh.

I think the next time we see it is in the TR fatty episode, if I'm correct lol.
 
I know its been "No need to worry!" since Kenny came along, but PUSA didn't translate it at all today and I'm wondering if this is the first time they've done that. I thought before Kenny they just translated it as something similar, but still translated it at least.
