Hmm, anyone think his "Satoshi is still a rival" line or whatever it was in the original version may have been Conway believing he would have to best Ash for Dawn's affections?
I actually thought that he was Dawn’s age too, but kept noticing that throughout the episode he was either the same height as Brock or slightly taller. So 17ish sound right.Conway is the same age as Dawn, do you guys even know what a pedophile is? If you're 18 or older and crushing on a minor its creepy, but Conway is probably around Dawn's age.
He's a stalker but there's nothing wrong with what he's doing. If it was someone like Brock's age crushing on Dawn, then that would be wrong.
Right, right. Got confused. Ha, now I am convinced that he was referring the a romance with Dawn. And apparently Kouhei is more observant of people than Conway is...? Or he just considers himself so damn hot and awesome that Ash couldn't possibly compete with him. Or something. The original line was that he's not the enemy. But I think it was a dropped plot line. It would be awesome if he meant he didn't see Ash as a rival for Dawn's affections. :-D
Personally that's not why I found the point deduction unfair. I mean they were looking for Angie's Shinx (except Conway and Jessie, Conway went because of Dawn, Jessie went for "treasure"), clearly there are rules with no exceptions. And you're kind of right, these are trainers that travel a region, and going away from a simple lake is more dangerous than Ash facing some baddies. And they did go as a group. But I guess a rule is a rule.Firstly, it's a pity that Ash couldn't do "more" today. Although he was given some good scenes, he couldn't really shine.
And secondly, I find it far too hard that Ash and Co. lost four points!! I mean, what for?? Just for leaving the area of the lake??? Come on, Prof. Rowan, your acadamy isn't a kindergarten, is it? Instead of praising our heroes for such an awesome adventure and report, you punish them??? No, I absolutely can't agree with this totally unfair decision!:saiyan:
Finally, one question remains:
Why in the world did Lumineon lure the other Pokemon into the cave? Why? Surely not, because it intended to share its food. On the one hand it wants to show its solidarity and on the other hand it tricks Pokemon by hypnotizing them? No, that simply doesn't go together!
I guess this question will remain unsolved unless you have a reasonable explanation.
