Again at 7:00am but...

IN HD!!!!

Depressed Ash is depressed. I'm pretty glad Ash's realizing his mistakes from the battle.

- It's finally back in HD, but for how long?
- First time we've seen Pokemon in bandages since... forever.
- Team Rocket goes back to their construction gig.
- In retrospect, Ash really did get his ass kicked by Paul.
- LOL at Gliscor crying.
- And here we start the plot for this episode.
- A few dozen Poison Jabs has made Brock paranoid.
- Monferno "coincidentally" takes more damage than any other pokemon.
- And Nurse Joy doesn't have any means to "heal" pokemon like the games.
- Finally we see Uxie.
- Dawn begins practicing for her show.
- More retrospect on Ash's pokemon losing.
- Brock saw "it?"
- Azulf?
- And Ash and co. seem surprised they saw legendary pokemon?
- I have to admit Mamoswine's face is a bit funny.
- Piplup... Always wanting to be the star of the show...
- ...Only to fail.
- Um... that's kinda weird...
- Best sportdrink picture ever.
- You stink! Stink! Stink! Stink!
- Most "creative" name for a contraption.
- Construction-theme motto.
- Jessie hasn't used Seviper since when? And Haze... Seviper had that move?
- Ash's pokemon work together to keep up with Team Rocket.
- First time "powerhouse" has been used.
- Too many giant faces! I swear the animators must have been high drawing this.
- Most epic moment in the episode and they couldn't even keep the BGM?
- And NOW they decide to keep the BGM?
- Suiren Town is called "Lilypad Town."
- To Be Continued.

Lulz at emo Ash. Nice to see he finally respects Paul as a hard-working trainer, rather than the jerk who beats his pokemon.

Nice dub overall. Though I am upset they didn't keep the whole "SHI-N-JI-ru" joke. I had some ideas for that one!

"That was an apPAULling defeat."
"You just got PAULverized!"

Ahaha, I'm so lame. I respect them for their efforts though, as all of that would've been hard to lip sync anyways XD

You mean SD widescreen, right? The eps have all aired in HD widescreen since DP126, no?

- Suiren Town is called "Lilypad Town."

I'm surprised that they kept the meaning of the Japanese name, as this is an anime only town which isn't really related to the meaning of its name and doesn't have any special features
I remember how back then I thought maybe it'll be a water field Contest again like Wallace Cup partly because of the name, and I (well, some others too) thought Lombre and the other water types on that calendar would be in the Contest...

Even if this town's name isn't important at all, it's still nice that they bothered to make a name with a similar meaning, rather than make up a random name

I love how Brock just casually sees Uxie. You can tell by this point the writers weren't bothered to make it seem "special" anymore like they did with Dawn and Ash.

Not that I comment the dub music was pretty faithful to the Japanese. There may have been changes but overall it was pretty much exact. And trust me I've seen the Japanese episode 10 or more times (only because it was one of the only episodes with Monferno for a long time). Although you could argue I haven't seen it in a long time.

And now we say goodbye to Monferno because we won't see it until Kazunari tries to capture Gible.

Anyway there are some changes I like about the dub that wasn't in the original, but right now I can't think of anything, and it probably involved VA's or whatnot so I'll just refrain from saying anything.

And Lilypad Town, I wasn't expecting such a weird name even if it's a translation of the original.

Edit: Sorry about that, had a moment of idiocy, hopefully I fixed it in time.
Edit 2: There that should make it better.

"Wasn't Jimmy Rocket hard?" I actually think Piplup has a good idea for once. Wow, Brock convinced Croagunk not to jab him. That makes the current group sound more important than it is. XD. That is pretty silly of Mamoswine. Maybe I don't pay much attention, but I don't think it's often we see TR's pokemon score a hit. All of the attacks of the team together. Lillypad? I guess that fits with Suiren. I guess it really was too much to expect Ash to realize his own flaws. Oh well, I still await to see how he will come back from this defeat. This was neat for Uxie, but for little else.

Pretty good episode to follow up on the last one. It was nice to see Ash really depressed for once.

I love how Brock got to see Uxie. It's about time he got more involved with the overall plot.

Dawn's little show was cute and funny. It was sweet how she was trying to chear Ash up.

For an episode that was supposed to focus on Ash getting over the battle, I thought the show did a nice job of giving everyone screen time. The only downside was Team Rocket. They were boring and unnecessary. I have to lol at that motto at least. All these months since I first saw it and that scale still makes zero sense.

lol. What? This was just as special as the other times.

"Wasn't Jimmy Rocket hard?"

I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be Chimmy.

so to anyone who caught this episode (i missed it due to the time change again.) how was the scene where Ash talked to his pokemon dubbed?

I'm pretty sure the line was, "Wasn't Jimmy rockin' hard?"

Oh, cause James was digging at the time? I just assumed I misheard and they were still talking about how Chimchar did in the battle.

I wish Team Rocket was easier to understand.

Well assuming it was when they were talking about the battle, then it was "Chimmy" Wasn't it Meowth who said it and then James said something about how Chimchar evolving into Monferno was great. And than Jessie pointed out the 6-2 match up. If that's true, then it was "Chimmy" because they were referring to the battle. Since James did not participate in said battle it wouldn't make sense, even if it was an offhand comment. And Meowth did talk about Chimchar in the original for that part. Meowth said in the original "Hikozaru battled really well too" So I think Meowth was saying "Chimmy" not "Jimmy" then again I may be wrong about when it was said (Wasn't Jimmy rockin' hard?).

so to anyone who caught this episode (i missed it due to the time change again.) how was the scene where Ash talked to his pokemon dubbed?

The Gist? Someone could come by and give you the full Dialogue but he said that they were going to train harder and beat Paul. "They" as in referring to his Sinnoh Team.

You guys know "sad" and "emo" are not synonyms, right?

-The music at the start is gorgeous.
-Ash's Pokémon look a lot more injured than they did last battle. I guess it's nice seeing Pokémon in conditions other than perfect and swirly-eyed.
-Aww, Wobbuffet doing something silly, what he does best.
-They're on a roll recently with making Brock hitting on girls more creative.
-Now all three of them have seen a Lake Pokémon. How appropriate that each one saw the one they did.
-No wonder making Pokémon fight for fun and profit is so common. Medical practice, natural and otherwise, is practically magic in this world.
-There are currently 221.5kg (487 pounds) of Pokémon on Ash right now, and he's not dead. Considering he can also hold a Hippopotas on his head, he is absurdly strong.
-There's way too much laughing in this episode.
-Capturing Pikachu without a robot? Who ever would have thought of that?
-And and I used to like Pachirisu. This is the dumbest scene ever.
-"We've got the perfect drink for you." Heh, for a second there it sounded like they were pushing the whole "children's show" boundary a little too far. :p
-I like Team Rocket being jerks like real villains rather than just instant conflict.
-What. Mach Punch is basically Bullet Seed now?
-Yay, menacing pose!
-You'd think in the time it takes to command all those attacks they would have hit before he has a chance to get them all off.

Overall, it wasn't really an average episode per se, but it had quite a mix of good and bad.

Guys, I'm 100% sure they said Chimmy for two reasons:
1. It said so in my closed captions.
2. In the original, they mentioned Chimchar at that point.
