There's a lot of silence in this episode.

EDIT: Title change.

That double Quick Attack looked amazing. :O

Re: "The Mother of All Battlers." review thread

*sigh* This is the second time I've gotten up at 7:30 and missed it.

As if Cartoon Network wanted to rub my face in it, I was watching Yu-Gi-Oh right after and they throw some bad guy model girl at me named, you guessed it, MISTY.

God Cartoon Network, may you burn in the distortion world for eternity for torturing me anyway possible. -_-

Seriously, WHY can't this show come on later on like it used to???

(PS wasn't there already an episode titled "The Mother Of All Battles" to begin with??? God, PUSA sucks at names!"

Cartoon Network doesn't dub Pokemon.

Cartoon Network doesn't dub Pokemon.

But they do HELP in ways.

Then just switch "Cartoon Network" with "PUSA".

Still, they ARE the reason I keep missing the episodes lately. -_-

Re: "The Mother of All Battlers." review thread

The actual title is "Strategy Begins at Home!", do you realize?

I like that they gave Sayer a name (even though it's a strange name). It's stupid for a recurring character not to have a name.

Also, they ignored the fact that Kane and Iizo have surnames? That's sad.

Glameow and Umbreon do not approve. Brock gets a double whammy. Both moms. Ash getting scolded, reminds me of the old eps. You know, TR, you could keep all those water pokemon instead of just wanting Goldeen. Gracidea garden? Also, we hear the first route themes of two gens in this one episode. Yes, let's remember Johto now. (Hint hint, wink wink) Johanna is just as devastating as she is in the game. At least Dawn got a hit in. It's an ok ep, I guess. Nothing much happened, and you know how things will turn out.

Ash finally remembers the Johto saga, and right after they fade out while he's talking. Nice.

U-Verse started to record at the title screen, so I missed it. Thank you, CN West Coast.

This episode was pretty boring for the most part, but I love how Ash remembered when Heracross used to rape suck Bulbasaur's nectar.

You do realize she rejected a Feebas she fished for back in Hoenn too? She doesn't realize how rare it is.

I'm pretty sure that back in that ep, Jessie still didn't know Feebas can evolve into Milotic - now she does know that...

So... how did they call Noa? that girl with Bellossom who was a student of Johanna (or whatever she was supposed to be)

I would guess he's the festival chairman guy who went unnamed in the original.

I'm curious as to how a contest battle differs from a regular battle when there are no judges or timer, since there is no way to beat someone aside from knocking out their Pokémon. I also found Johanna's battling pretty underwhelming. She just made both Pokémon use the exact same attack.

I loved Brock in this episode. Not only does he completely man-handle Dawn to get to Noelle, his hair also inexplicably inflates to an exploding afro. Once-an-episode things like this get boring when they don't take them in ridiculous directions.

Discharge damages all Pokémon on the field but the user. It also has a 30% chance of paralyzing each of them.

I really like how the anime is making less and less sense every fucking year.

Pretty much describes the episode.

You're simply supposed to battle in the Contest style
If that was a regular battle, you wouldn't need to focus on the beauty of the attacks and such things - that's the difference

I can't see any reason why Pachi shouldn't be able to choose where to send its own attack
If anything, that's the games who are stupid here, not the anime... why would Pachi have to hit its partner too? THIS is what makes no sense to me
