Today marks something special: Lyra and Khoury
go bye-bye!

Also another thing:
the timeslot and opening remains!

Anyway, the episode starts in a few minutes.

I was just bored to be honest. I really did not want to put the biggest spoiler in the episode.

Um...ok.

In any case, I wonder how TPCI will handle the whole prayer scene. I'm about 90% sure that they'll keep it intact, but you never know.

Well we start off with dub music, so it looks like TPCI is back to their usual standards this week.

Ah good about 15 seconds of silence after the TR motto.

The Drapion Mecha is cool looking, but how did the TRio make a decoy it's just strange to me.

Is this new TPCI music at the start of the battle?

Nice Johto Wild Battle music was kept.

Khoury's Totodile evolves into Croconaw

Ash & Dawn won the double battle not too surprising.

After the final commercial break we're treated to more silence for about 10 seconds.

Nice Brock remembers Whitney & Morty.

Good old Kanto episode ending music at the end.

So only 4 pieces of Japanese music were kept this week. It's like Dogasu says the dub would be a lot better if all of the original music is left alone.

I hope they keep the Johto music intact during the battle. This is one episode that I have been waiting to see dubbed for a while.

Khoury....huh strange as fuck, but hey we'll never see him again, so whatever.

We've had only one piece of Japanese music so far! Outrageous, not like DP146 at all. But at least the voice acting is great.

Now we've just had another piece of Japanese. I am not so satisfied with the amount of music kept, but voice acting is not just good, it's grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

Two more pieces! Wow, they're quick

Toto's evolution looked 3D. Kudos to this episode's animator!

TPCI must be testing or something with the music. Two pieces kept so far? That's... unusually low. At first I thought they were just going to have all dub music this ep(like I said, testing, perhaps?).

Edit: Make that 3 pieces kept.

M'kay, make that 4 pieces kept now.

Heh. 4piece.
So yeah, getting away from music for a bit; that Mach Punch Monferno fed Croconaw. Definately beats out that staircase scene from the Unown ruins, huh? I don't think anything on the show has ever looked that good.

Wow, they really had to fill time with a random TR encounter. Of course we still have to show how good Johto pokes are. And Croconaw didn't even do much before getting KO'd. "When I'm with you, it feels like great things will happen" Awwww. And so, our Johto friends leave, with classic BGM to send them off. The battle was good, but I can't say much for the rest.

Urgh that first piece.

ACE☆DETECTIVE KAZUNARI! xD

Wasn't really bothered by TR rhyming until this episode. Either I just wasn't really hearing it, or this episode just made it more obvious.

The two non-moving guys behind Kazunari's dad still amuse me. xD

nothing else to say really. The music changes were meh, but in general a good episode.

They don't refer to it as a prayer, but as a wish, other than that it didn't change. Oh, and they're making these wishes to find out if the legend is true. So it's kind of unchanged, they just skip over calling it a prayer and go straight to the wish thing.

Well, its sad to see Lyra and Khoury go, but they did serve their purpose in getting me excited about going back to Johto! (one week till HG/SS!!!) Anyway, there was some goof battling in this episode, and all in all it was a good way to send off some good charecters.

Fingered the Lillypad ribbon? Um, Jessie? You didn't steal it...

Pretty good episode. I really liked the double battle, but I agree that Team Rocket was just a waste of time. At least we got a subtle reference to the BF Rocket episode.

I'm kinda sad to see Lyra and Khoury go. They were fun characters, and it was great to see a girl who was doing gyms.

I loved the animation of this episode so so so much. I loved the Matrix-style spinny effect when Monferno punched Croconaw. I honestly was hoping that Lyra and Khoury would win the tag battle, but whatever.

JohtoFestaShipping very strongly appears to have become canon, hasn't it? *Jumps for joy*

That effect was the best part of the episode. I was hoping they would win too.

Wasn't that great of an episode though, I'll start watching again after the Galactic stuff is done.

This episode was done pretty well. I liked the whole Monferno Mach Punching Croconaw scene.

It's sad to see Lyra and Khoury go, they really should have kept them for a couple more weeks and see where it went.

Overall, a decent episode. My only real complaint, same as everybody else, would have to be the lack.
I'm glad that they kept four pieces of original BGM, but the apparent lack of it is still evident. I don't count Team Rocket's Sinnoh BGM in this tally since they always keep that music and chances are that they will probably never dub over that music.

This was pretty much average as far as Diamond & Pearl episodes go. Not bad, not good. I really would have liked to see Dawn finally correct Lyra about her name. On the other hand, Monferno's Mach Punch was pretty awesome.

Back to the three-part group. Here's hoping the interactions don't get boring.
