Ok serebii.net just got some corocoro scans in... these revealed that A. Safari Zone present (discuss what you believe may be in it) B. A battle frontier like place check serebii.net for full scan details

Ok more Coro coro scans on serebii.net

It looks like we can customize the safari zone oh and it also told about three new PA events, i guess some sort of drink you can make out of apricorns which boost PA stats, and some stuff on groudon/kyogre/rayquaza check serebii for details...

I'm just curious about how many Frontier Brains there are, I mean Emerald had 7, and Platinum had 5, so I don't think there is a set number of what is, however I kind of doubt it would surpass 7.

As for the Safari Zone, since the areas seem to vary as much as the Pal Park area, it may mean there could be tons of Pokemon like Larvitar, I'll just need a Pokemon with sweet scent.

I wish there were swarming/special events in the Safari Zone. Like find the rare an elusive Bulbasaur, and there's only one and you have until the day ends to find it and capture it, even if it runs you still have a chance to get it, but the level, and if its shiny or not will remain permanent from the first encounter. And if you do catch the rare Pokemon, you get a ribbon or a berry or some reward than just the Pokemon. Of course that will never happen.

I wouldn't necessarily count that idea (or something similar) out just yet. After all, they look to be aiming to make the Gen. III games completely unnecessary for completing the Pokédex, and that means making the Kanto and Hoenn starters available in these games. They could just be on a one-per-game basis, but they could surprise us by doing something different like that.

the safari zone is in cinabar

No it's in Victory Road.

Wait, If there's a Safari Zone in Johto, than that means Exclusive Pokémon like Tauros and Chansey can be caught there.

And for the Battle Frontier, do we really need one? I mean now?

What's wrong with a Battle Frontier?

Its for something to do in HGSS, after you beat the main story.

Does it really matter that Platinum had a battle frontier in regards to HGSS?

ooo i measnt to say cinaWOOD city

Called it on the Safari Zone. Now, anyone wanting to apologize to me for claiming I was an idiot for thinking it was a safari zone since it was obviously a pal park? No? Well, good. We don't need you looking any worse than you already do...

Moving on, I'm glad it's in. And accessible from the moment you walk into Cianwood (I hope). So, yeah, I got my wish.

Now, let's see if my luck holds out.

That yellow tower? That's part of the radio tower.

It's nice having an accessible safari zone in the main storyline before the Elite 4 and stuff, but this worries me a little bit.

I was kinda hoping the Safari Zone in Kanto would be open again (of course, this still doesn't rule that out, but chances are slim at best now).

Then again, if the Johto part of the main story ends up being that much better because of the extra content, I guess that's good enough for me.

Cianwood Island being a Safari Zone is a waste.

Fuchsia would be better.

Wonder if the Cianwood Safari is run by the same Warden.

About Frontier... Well. I would prefer just Tower, as I rarely bother to take part in Frontier Battles. I hope that there will be decent Brains. Also, judging from the size of the place, I expect it to be the smallest Frontier. Four facilities or so.

Wonder what will anime do. They'll have to piss on one of the Frontiers. I guess they'll piss on Sinnoh one and decide to advertise HGSS.

Not according to the new information posted, apparently it confirmed, that Sinnoh will have its own Battle Frontier, and like I said there the writers of the anime must've known about the HGSS Battle Frontier and decided to change the venue of the frontier.

i dident realy want a battle frontier in this game unless they were bringing back Old facilities. but then again. that would be to clever...

I reeeeeaaaaaally want to hear the reasoning behind this.

Well, knowing what we do (namely, almost nothing), putting a feature where it was in past games will always make a bit more sense than creating an entire new area for it. But I'm assuming they're going to have a good explanation for it within the games that we just don't know about yet.

Just had a thought.
Remember how Scott would give you Berries for getting all the Silver and Gold symbols?
Weird idea, I know, but what about a Kanto starter for the Silver Symbols this time, and a Hoenn one for the Gold?

Nah, they'll probably do it with the Pokedex if anything.

I'm glad the Safari Zone is back, but I was hoping it was in Fushia so they could do a little explanation with Warden Slowpoke.

Oh well, I just hope this new one makes reference to the old one.

And yay Apricorns that you grow yourself (so I guess they changed the berry growth system).

So is there any main feature in the original games that didn`t make it in? You know, something that makes those people who worried that every feature that was distinctively GSC didn't make it because they were showing off new features -_-

I'd say the Safari Zone in Cianwood City doesn't make a whole lot of sense, plot wise. Apparently the warden just wanted to relocate it, so he closed the one in Kanto and moved to Johto? That's a bit silly.

But gameplay-wise, Cianwood City isn't such a terrible location. Many Gen II Pokémon weren't catchable until you reached Kanto, so putting some of those in there would allow for more team variety (I want my Houndour, damnit!) during the main game.

Besides, Cianwood City could really use something to make it feel bigger and more important (I always thought it was a shame there wasn't more to that place in the originals). Johto already has so many towns with almost nothing to do (more so than other regions).

Besides, they could then leave the Kanto Safari Zone open for more Hoenn Pokémon, if they choose to do anything with it at all.

Ryyu haha that cave is above the gym. But now oh lord I bet plot wise getting to gym 6 won't be so easy with the safari zone. A frontier is awesome news I wanted it a lot.
