Ok, guys, it's time to start!

Now, this is gonna be a much more controlling RPG than Rocket Mission was (if you played that), so the rules are gonna be that when you throw a Safari Ball, you end your post with the Ball wobbling so I can tell you whether it's successful or not. I'm using random number generators for a lot of this too, so don't complain if your starting position is worse than someone else's.

You have 30 Safari Balls. If you run out, you will not be transported out as the story goes that the Rockets are preventing people from exiting. Try not to do more than one IC post between my posts unless they are particularly inconsequential.

You'll be assigned an Area in which you start. It takes one post to move from Area to Area, you can only move between conjoined Areas and you can't move whilst battling. Here's a map, so you know which are conjoined.

You can request a new wild Pokemon whenever you're not already in a battle (though it'll be assigned by me using a random system to pick from 90 different Pokemon rather than chosen by you)and Rocket Grunts are liable to attack you at any time.

I'm happy for you to magically know what's going on in other places, not through like telekinesis or anything, but let's say there are information screens all over the place with CCTV on them?

You can interact with other people in the same Area

A storyline will unfold, but probably not all that quickly so people don't get left behind.

Ok, guys, hope you enjoy it, below are your starting positions:

Laura Cooper (Edo Kun) - Area 1, battling a wild Aipom.
Ben (polelover44) - Area 4, battling a wild Pineco, there is also a Grunt with a Zubat approaching.
Joe (Sword Dude) - Area 4, battling a wild Sunflora, there is also a Grunt with a Koffing approaching.
Tommy (Shinx3000) - Area 1, battling a wild Shuckle, there is also a Grunt with a Rattata approaching.
Michael (Metagross72) - Area 3, battling a wild Noctowl, there is also a Grunt with a Machop approaching.
Sandy Greene (Pale Bones) - Area 2, battling a wild Venonat, there is also a Grunt with a Cubone approaching.
Jasper Tayven (Zephy Changes) - Area 2, battling a wild Chansey.

Remember, you don't have any Pokemon with you, so if there is a Grunt approaching - you better catch one quickly!

OOC: w00t! Can't wait to get started! ^_^ Which Safari Zone is this in, again? I'm looking at a list of pokemon on Bulbapedia that appear in each zone, but a lot of the pokemon you're talking about which appear are in the Hoenn, not Kanto (even 3rd gen Kanto) Safari Zones.

Laura eyed the Aipom in front of her, and it stared back. She didn't particularly want an Aipom, but with Team Rocket now controlling the Safari Zone and her pokemon safely in storage on the PC system, she didn't have a hell of a lot of choices open to her. Slowly, she bent down and picked up a small rock.

"Eh, eh?"

Quickly, she flung the rock towards the Aipom, catching it on the arm.

"Aipom!" it screeched, running away into the trees and swinging off.

Laura sighed, remembering how much trying to catch pokemon in the Safari Zone irked her. Throw them some food and they stay, but become damn near impossible to catch, or lob a rock at them and they're liable to run, but become a hell of a lot easier to catch. 'I wish I could just battle...still, with Rockets controlling this place, I need a pokemon. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a Houndour or Gligar...or even a Doduo or Teddiursa.'
 
OOC: WELL, it's the Fuschia Safari Zone, however to vary the Pokemon more I've included all Kanto/Johto Pokemon and their evolutions wild, so you could come face to face with a wild Dragonite! =P (Which of course means that Houndour, Gligar, Doduo and Teddiursa can be found!)

Do you want another Pokemon, do you want to move into another Area or you could even interact with Aiedail or Tommy?
 
OOC: Oh, I guess I should have specified...I'll to into Area 2, then.
 
Jasper Tayven was not unnerved by Team Rocket trapping him in the Safari Zone. When he heard over the loudspeaker he simply rolled his eyes.
Jasper was trying to catch a Chansey to use in a Cute Contest. He hadn't had any luck for the past 2 hours.
He wound up like a baseball pitcher and threw a Safari Ball at the Chansey. He had been edging nearer got a while now and hoped this would do it.
The ball jerked left and then right.
Jasper crossed his fingers.

OOC: We already know it is locked, right?

Ben tossed some bait to the Pineco. It started eating ravenously, and he threw a Safari Ball at it.
 
I jumped back. "Okay, little thing. I'll got you soon. I need to get out of here as soon as possible..." I tossed some food in front of the sunflora. It started picking at it. I tossed a rock next, going up a little closer. It looked up at me, and went back to the food. Gotcha now! I though as I threw a safari ball at the sunflora, making it pop in. It started wiggling.
 
Tommy looked around and all of a sudden an Shuckle appeared. Thinking that such a pokemon might be good in such a situation he slowly reached for a rock. Carefully picking it up, he threw it at the shuckle.

It grew angered. "Hopefully use this to stop the grunt over there, if I can catch it!" Tommy grabbed a safari ball and threw it at the enraged SHuckle. The ball landed and it wiggled. "Come on, please!" said Tommy a bit nervously. Pop! the wild Shuckle jumped out of the ball.

"Drat! OK, its still looking at me angrly. I can pull this off." Tommy pulled some bait he had and threw it at the Shuckle. It began eating! "Wonder if I can catch it now?" Tommy grabbed another safari ball he had and threw it....

OOC: Shinx3000, read everything before you post! This is quite a controlling RPG you see. You're battling a Shuckle (you can just run away from it, if you want), also there's a Grunt with a Rattata approaching.

And, yes, Zephy, I'm happy for you to assume that your Ball is accurate. =P

Oh, and just as a point, folks, if it seems unfair that some people are catching things easier than others etc., but I am randomising them (using the random function on my calculator =P) so it's all luck!

IC: Jasper's Ball stops wobbling shockingly quickly and clicks shut... Chansey was caught! Jasper looks around, despite hearing rumours of Team Rocket in the Safari Zone, there are absolutely no members of Team Rocket anywhere near Jasper!

Ben's Ball wobbles, it continues to wobble for a very long amount of time, but then bursts open! Shoot! It was so close too! But Ben's misfortune does not end there...
"Zubat! Attack!" shouts a nearby Grunt... that Pineco better get in the Ball soon!

Joe, however, is luckier than Ben. After a few moments of uncertainty, the Safari Ball clicks shut! And not a moment too soon... "Koffing! Smokescreen!" shouts a Grunt, covering the whole area in smoke... It's time to battle!
 
I picked up the ball, coughing ((Ironic, huh?)) and turned around and saw nothing. I got knocked over before the smoke could clear off. I let out the newly acquired sunflora. "Lets hope you can do something! use bullet seed in all directions!" Sunflora shot bullet seeds into random areas, hoping to hit the koffing.
 
OOC: Are shinys allowed? ^_^ *really wants a shiny Gligar* also, after your original post saying what we battled, do we have a say in what we encounter next? And last question: for the pokemon we catch, can they know moves all the way to Gen 4, or only know moves they could learn in Gen 2?
 
Ben turned and saw a ROcket Grunt approaching. Then guy had a Zubat with him. Ben backed down and scurried up a tree

OK, I modified my last post so I threw the ball. SHould have read the post clearer, but my computer was messing up
 
The startled Shuckle is sucked into the Safari Ball, weakened by the first Ball and after a moment or two... Shuckle is captured!

"Go! Rattata!" shouts the Grunt nearby Tommy, "Hit that kid with a Hyper Fang!"

The Rattata storms towards Tommy, teeth bared, but Tommy sends out his new Shuckle, which takes the blow and leaves Rattata with severe toothache...
 
Laura entered the second area, keeping a wary eye out for both pokemon and Rockets. 'I'd better get a pokemon, and fast.' she thought, looking around and trying to spot any signs of movement.
 
Ben spotted movement and leaped to the next tree. It was a Nidorino! He threw a Rock at it, then baited it to come closer. When he was on a thicker limb, he threw a Safari Ball at it.
 
Something rustled in the grass, and Laura's head whipped around, catching a flash of blue. 'Probably only a Whooper...' she thought, then shrugged. 'But I need a pokemon, and a Whooper's as good as any, I suppose.' As she approached, however, the blue thing streaked into the air -- a Gligar, and a shiny one at that!

"Oh, you better not run away from me, you little bat-thing..." Laura muttered, snatching up a rock and flicking it towards the Gligar. It struck the pokemon's wing, causing it to turn and fly straight at her. Just as quickly, Laura tossed up a Safari Ball, which hit it's mark perfectly. The ball fell to the ground and began to wiggle.
 
Ok, guys, but I was supposed to tell you what you found. =P

polelover - A wild Gliscor flies out of the grass and zooms towards Ben! At the same time, the nearby Rocket Grunt orders his Zubat to Bite Ben so that he can take him hostage! Fortunately for Ben, the two collide in the air and begin a quarrel in mid-air.

Edo-Kun - Laura looks around, desperate to find a Pokemon as quickly as possible after the Aipom got away. When suddenly she hears a rumbling... A wild Rhydon appears!
 
Ben threw a Safari Ball at the Gliscor, and dodged the incoming Zubat. The Safari Ball started wiggling...
