Pure fun, that is all I can say. Sailor Moon was a very fun series.

Sailor Moon is mediocre and possibly the most formulaic show ever to last so long as it did. That being said, it had pretty hilarious villains. The problem is that they never did anything except have a bad fight with poor action, a few bad lines from Sailor Moon (usually unintentionally funny), a few bad lines from Tuxedo Mask (usually unintentionally funny), and then the villain dies and they all go home giggling and Usagi talks dreamily about boys or how happy everyone is or something.

^ That doesn't really sound like the same anime to me.

That being said, I have watched and own all 200 episodes.

and that's why we like it.

Indeed. See Sailor Moon is fun because it's pure entertainment. It's not like Evangelion or other pseudo-intellectual shows that gets so full of themselves that it becomes a chore to watch.

After a rough day I want to be entertained, not put back into Theology 101.

My only gripe with Sailor Moon was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay at the end. I didn't like the whole "Chaos" concept and how it tied into the previous antagonists. Made things feel cheap.

Yeah, that confused me a bit. And I wish Cosmos could have been in the anime. It'd have been nice to see everyone's castles, and Shitenou return, as well. I always wanted them to end up paired up with the senshi.

All the other Big Bads being related to Chaos did partially explain why Tokyo was always getting attacked, and not other parts of the world. The villians were drawn in by the Silver Crystal.

Yeah, they fetch quite a price now.

It's not likely we'll see it rereleased either, because as a I understand, Toei is being assinine with it the license.

Yeah, they refuse to license the series out anymore, to include the Sailor Stars series. Which means that for some people, SuperS was left uncompleted.

I never got why there are so many different names - I mean, we have the first season (?), which ends with the big bad fight against Queen Beryl, in which Sailor Moon aka Princess Serena and the senshi win. Yay. Then it goes into another season (?), in which after the battle all the senshi have lost their memories, but get them back so that the show can go on. I got that far before I couldn't find any more episodes, and then wondered 'Okay...what happens now?' I can never keep all the R, S, 'super', etc. stuff straight...what order do they go in?

I think this is the order:

Sailor Moon
Sailor Moon R
Sailor Moon S
Sailor Moon SuperS
Sailor Stars

Sailor Moon R, the second half, is probably my favorite season. It had the best villain ever, Wiseman.

Seriously, that guy convinced (although for not very long) Usagi that Mamoru was going to dump her in favor of a incestuous loli-relationship with chibi-Usa.

That's true. Although I felt bad for Chibiusa. The scene where Chibiusa imagines that Mamoru chooses another girl over Usagi made me remember that one. Of course, Chibiusa had to get them back together, otherwise, she wouldn't exist. Although my favorite villain is Beryl. Diamond, too, was awesome.

lol so having an actually comprehensive plot instead of solely fluff like Sailor Moon is being full of yourself; I see, Evangelion sure is arrogant!

I assume you're referring to this post?

Comparisons between Sailor Moon and Evangelion are silly, anyway, since the two shows are trying to do very different things for very different audiences.
