Has anyone here seen it yet? I have to wait a few weeks until it comes out here, but every review I've read tells me it's worth seeing. Even though I hated the second one, Saw I has been one of my favorite movies for a long time, and I've already been looking forward to this one for months after seeing the trailers, and after reading the reviews, even more. More blood and plot twists = Y. Besides, the one who wrote the first wrote the third as well (not the second though), and people were saying this is more like the first one anyway.

Mark spoilers, btw.

I know what u mean...But actually i quite liked no. II. Number one was better but two was great as well. I can't wait till it comes out! I saw the ads in the mall last week and I was like: "OMG SQUEE! ORGASM!"...um...yeah...

Saw III looks awesome. I loved the first two films and as soon as school unwenches my balls I'll get out to see it. Jigsaw and Amanda make a cool duo.

Fun little trivia: Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) also appeared on 24 during Season 2 as Peter Kingsley! ^_^;

Well, at least someone thinks so. I never saw Saw 2, though I heard a fairly lengthy description of it. The addition of Amanda...ruined the movie for me. I won't see Saw 3, and if I find out what happens, it'll probably be in this thread. It's a shame, I had such high expectations for Saw 2 and the eventual Saw 3, but it was all dashed, it seems...if only the main antagonist had been merely kept the "sole" antagonist...

I'm not reading this topic because I haven't seen it yet and don't want it ruined for me. But I LOVE Saw 1 and 2, so I'll definitely see this when I get a chance.

Here's another interesting tidbit.
Apparantly, the first edition posters for the movie sold for US$20 each and proceeds went to the red cross. For the red ink used on the posters, Tobin Bell donated 2 vials of his own blood to add to the red ink vat....I WANT ONE OF THOSE POSTERS!!!!!

I've seen it now. I thought it was really good, 2 is still my favorite though.

Are you serious? You're the first person I've heard say the second one was better than the first. I was kinda disappointed with it and nearly everyone else I know agrees the first was more suspenseful and freaky. Ah well, to each his own, I guess. I suppose one of the better things about it is that I'd imagine Tobin Bell got by far the most screentime in it (I haven't seen the third yet, but given what I know of the plot I'd find it hard to imagine he had more screentime there).

Dammit, still anxious to see it... there's no way I'm waiting for it to get here.

Yeah, I think I'm the only person I know who preferred the second one. I just really liked the group aspect of it, that's what made it more interesting to me.

And I dunno, I prefer the traps in the previous two movies to the traps in 3. Once you see 3 you'll know what I'm talking about the traps being different than in the other movies.

Heh, yeah, my sister said something similar... but wait, there were traps in the first one? IIRC the first one was all about drama and suspense, the second one had all the trap-action. Sure it was cool, I also thought the whole 'Big Brother' aspect of it was interesting, just a little lacking in the suspense department.

Was the third one at least suspenseful?

Well of course there were traps in the first one...the whole bathroom thing itself was a trap, and besides that they also showed the barbed wire trap, and the reverse bear trap, and the flammable jelly trap.

Yeah, I suppose you could call the 3rd one suspensful. Depends how good you are at predicting what is going to happen.

After watching the end of Saw 2, i just knew they might make a part 3. I cant WAIT!

I dunno whether or not I agree with that. I mean they were a hell of a lot more gory, but
The fact that Amanda's traps were inescapable was a bit of a let down in the suspense department.

And let's just suffice to say, that yes, according to Saw 3's ending, there will be a number 4.

What are you waiting for, according to your location you're a lucky bastard in America, so go see it.

Sorry to double post, but I've finally seen it... this one's by far my favorite after the disaster that 2 was. And now I see what you meant by the traps... though they would have been cool if it weren't for that little twist.

BTW, they did sign on for a 4th one.
