Say hello to some feathered friends in Pokémon GO on May 11th with the Flock Together Research Day event

Niantic has released full details on the Flock Together Research Day in Pokémon GO, which will be taking place on May 11th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. As the name suggests, this event will focus on Flying-type Pokémon.

Event Activities
Field and Timed Research
Free event-themed Field Research tasks will be available by spinning Photo Disks at PokéStops. When completed, these tasks award Trainers encounters with a variety of different thematically appropriate Pokémon (see below for a list).

Trainers will also be able to purchase access to event-exclusive Timed Research from the in-game store for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This Timed Research will task Trainers with completing Field Research tasks to receive additional encounters with featured Pokémon (see below).

The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before May 11th, at 5:00pm local time. This Timed Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
