what is a good moveset for scyhter/scizor

For Scizor, it's possible to complete GSC entirely by itself with no level grinding with Shadow Ball and some Steel move. Simple.

...it would also be helpful if, you know, you told us what you are looking for in a Scizor considering that Pokemon like this have many sets that can be tailored for your needs

Trait: Technician

-Swords Dance
-Bullet Punch
-Brick Break
-Roost/X-Scissor

Basically, bullet punch becomes the strongest 100% accurate speed prioritizing move in the game, making it a lethal killer. Brick Break allows you to hit the likes of Heatran and Metagross, while X-Scissor is another STAB, though Roost is useful for longevity.

Thing is, that set is heavily countered due to the popularity of Gyarados, Heatran, and Zapdos, who are always wanting to switch in on the Swords Dance and threaten/set up. It seems like CBScizor with U-Turn is the best set to use right now, since you can easily U-Turn out of a predicted Zappy/Gyara/Tran switch into your counter:

- Pursuit

Pretty simple; 244 Spd EVs reaches 227 Spd, one point above base 95s like Uxie and Gliscor.
