According to cabletvtalk.com, season 11 starts on April 12th, still called Diamond and Pearl.

I don't know whether you can trust this source or not though.

"Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Season 11 Launch
The Pokemon Diamond & Pearl series continues with an all new season and all new episodes!
New Episodes Premiere Saturday, April 12th at 9:00am e/p, 19th, and 26th at 9:30am e/p"

If this is true, damn that was fast. WTF, we had what...only like 2 months of reruns?

CN is really blowing through the show quickly.

Huh, I didn't expect season 11 to start until after movie 10's DVD release (because season 10 didn't start until after movie 9's DVD release).

If this is all true, guess we can probably expect the dub to be referred to as Diamond and Pearl for as long as the original is.

I like it that we are getting new episodes. But, this is a little fast. At this rate (about a season a year)we will be done with hoen in 4 years.

Wee. I can finally watch the episodes without having to stand Meowth's annoying raw voice.

Unnecessary swipe at the Japanese version? Classy.

At this point, CableTVTalk.com is probably just using the "Diamond & Pearl" title as a placeholder because they don't know what Season 11 will be called. It could very well be given a different title, especially since Pokemon.com called "Smells Like Team Spirit" the "last" episode of Diamond & Pearl.

Hopefully we don't catch up to the raw too much, with it being 16 episodes ahead at this point.

I want to believe its coming April 12, but part of me don't, but if it does come that early, its like damn. At this rate, we gonna catch up to Japan, be scary the day to come to watch an episode before Japan airs it which is obviously unlikely, but be scary....

I agree. I think that it is a little soon in my opinion for them to start the next season. But I doubt though that the series will catch up to Japan. After all, they have episodes coming out in Japan in March while nothing is coming out here in the U.S. If they continue to release one episode a week in Japan they would still be ahead of the U.S. by about 20 episodes. I will only believe the date if Cartoon Network starts advertising it. If it really is April 12, I will be happy.

Hey, with Mystery Dungeon 2 being released on the 20th, who wants to bet we'll get the season 11 premiere and the second mystery Dungeon special side-by-side?

That's very likely. That, or the special will be packaged in with "The Rise of Darkrai" movie.

PUSA can't dub an episode if it hasn't been made yet.

Personally I hope we get the Pikachu River Adventure ANA Short like how Manaphy had the Island short. I like those.

I know that, but I'm just saying it would be scary. But in the Pokemon anime's case do they record the voices first and then animate, draw the scenes, or reversed where they have the animation ready and then record the voices???

No, almost every anime is post-synced. They set the voices, and the score to the animation, although this sometimes variates with the music, specifically in important scenes.

You can always notice too, because all pokemon (and nearly every anime) is is just lips moving up and down, usually no tounge seen moving. So sometimes (a lot of the times) you'll see the mouth keep moving even after the voice has stopped.

^^ Ah okay, it didn't do so much in the first season, but thats what I thought that they recorded first, I wasn't 100% sure since they do it so fast and how its a low budget animation, and imagining how much time to get done after doing the voices.
