Season 13 Opening Theme

I've been curious lately about the new season's opening theme song. It's always been one of my favorite parts of the anime to sing along with the theme song, and I usually know all of the words to it after the premiere episode ;-) But I heard a rumor (or not a rumor) that the May 22 episode would be postponed and "Classroom Training" would be aired instead... so while we're waiting, what do you guys think will be the theme of the song (since the season is titled "Sinnoh League Victors, what will the song be about), and who will sing it (girls/guys, they've been changing it up)?

And now we know that it won't air till June 5th :( So close, yet so far away...

List of themes for past seasons:

Season 1: Indigo League- Pokemon Theme
Season 2: The Adventures in the Orange Islands- Pokemon World
Season 3: The Johto Journeys- Pokemon Johto
Season 4: Johto League Champions- Born to be a Winner
Season 5: Master Quest- Believe in Me
Season 6: Advanced- I Wanna be a Hero
Season 7: Advanced Challenge- This Dream
Season 8: Advanced Battle- Unbeatable
Season 9: Battle Frontier- Battle Frontier
Season 10: Diamond and Pearl- Diamond and Pearl
Season 11: Diamond and Pearl (Battle Dimension)- We Will be Heroes
Season 12: Diamond and Pearl (Galactic Battles)- Battle Cry (Stand up!)
Season 13: Sinnoh League Victors- ????????????????

The only thing I can say is that it will probably be 35-45 seconds about a random theme. Beyond that, how would we know? Your guess is as good as mine.

Same here. And I think it's always a possibility knowing that these last couple were about seven seconds longer than the first two. Perhaps we can hope for a 45 second opening this coming season and maybe we will get a one minute opening the following season. ;-)
 
The reason why openings have become shorter since TPCI took over dubbing is because of time. Basically Cartoon Network love to show of their adds so TPCI had to cut opening's down. So, basically, blame CN. In my opinion, it was better that they chose to do that instead of cutting out scenes from the show (there have been a few scene cuts, but they were mainly/only scene transitions).

Don't worry, PUSA will cut up another Japanese opening just like they usually do.

If that opening is the greatest everyday, I can't complain.

Anyways, it'll probably be a theme about winning in the end or something. I find it appropriate.

I just hope that it is a male that sings it. The last two were nice but I really don't want a third female in a row.
 
PUSA would imply that Ash is winning the league in the theme like they did with season's name.

Either way, I hope it is not crappy. But it will have crap lines no matter what :p.
 
Yes, I never notice about the ads and the time because Pokemon comes on at 6:00 in the morning and I don't want to get up that early on a Saturday. So I record it on my DVR and fast forward through all the commercials.

If "Decide on Iron Tail while smiling" isn't kept in for the new dub opening theme then I will do a Maxim and threaten Game Freak headquarters.
 
Out of interest, are they obliged to create a whole new song instead of translating the japanese opening, or is it something they prefer to do?

Outside of the US, it is normal for dubs to translate the japanese openings or just show them as they are.But because of advertising and the fact that they have to buy the rights for some songs it is impossible for them to so so at times.

I wish they did that in the US too.
But of course, mentioning any other culture would damage the poor children, so they would never do that.
 
i generally love the dub, but the one thing that does bother is that they are not allowed to use the original openings, and just use their own.
 
I hope they stop putting those annoying credits. I remember in WWBH Wobbuffet's face was covered with it, and I love its face.

What I prefer is a duet. The female sings about ambitions for the Grand Festival and the male sings about the path to the Sinnoh League. Then sometime in the song, they sing about how their goals are the same, but different goals at the same time.
