Diamond Tiara wants Ponyville's school newspaper to be more exciting, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders are still after their cutie marks. To satisfy both sides, the Crusaders become an anonymous gossip columnist, known as "Gabby Gums", to find the best news. Their popularity soon becomes sour when they begin writing articles that are either untrue or too sensitive for the public.

What did you think of the episode?

Personally, I loved it -- the Trollestia reference, the Trixie reference... lots and lots of references.

Not to mention everyone being angry.

I thought the first half was pretty slow and dull, but things picked up once the CMC started causing trouble. LOVED the Trollestia reference.

Pretty good episode, I think my favorite part was when Big Macintosh and Applejack basically switched roles. For once he said more than "eeyup" and "nope" and it was hilarious. There were alot of good references such as Trixie too.

I know! I was laughing so hard at that moment.

Now we know how to get under Big Mac's skin, I guess.

Also, there's a moment in "Hearts and Hooves Day" when Apple Bloom says "eeyup."

They should've had an article about me having secretly escaped and plotting clandestine attempts to once again take over Equestria. That would've been fantastic. Even more so than if I were to actually do so.
