Just yesterday I watched the ending 5 episodes of season 9 and starting 4 episodes of season 10. I was getting prepared for huge changes in the series, but virtually, nothing seems to have changed. One girl went, another came in. Both are participating in contests, so it's pretty much the same. Just the little brother went away, and the team is of 3 people again, just like in kanto and johto. Everyone got new clothes, and few new pokemon, leaving behind the old ones. Rest, everything is same. contest, then gym battle, team rocket trying to steal pikachu, but getting failed...just the same story over again. :-(

Do you like the transition (or lack thereof) between Season 9 and 10?

The entire show focuses on the same story, what did you expect?
 
The show here handled its writing differently even with the same setup. Whether the change is for the better is up for you to decide. So yeah, it shouldn't feel too similar once Team Galactic and the rivalry of Ash and Paul heats up.

Well it's not just a change of season, it's a change in series too. Advanced Generation series to Diamond & Pearl. I was hoping for a bigger change, like it was from the original series to AG.

Yeah I hope things change real soon. I'm on EP 10 and well, not much is different than the AG series. But I did liked when team magma and aqua came into action in AG series...much better then the same old team rocket trying to catch pikachu and blasting off "agan" :p . Team Galactic should be great too, hopefully ^^
Don't like Paul though, he treats Pokémon like objects with no feelings...like we thought of them in starting games :p (rofl) , before all the mood and personality thing was introduced. Though that makes it evil to make real living beings fight for our purposes o_O

I kinda forget when DP gets going to a decent degree. It does take a while, though. I think it's somewhere between Gardenia and Maylene, though
 
I hope so. The movies in DP series were really awesome...darkrai, giratina, arceus, zoroark. i loved the darkrai movie :D , arceus is just God-like, and still got stuck by mere humans in cement :p ...and i hope to see the concept of reverse world in the anime too, like in the giratina movie. just awesome (Y)
 
Errr...sorry, but that movie is the only incarnation of Distortion World there is. The regular anime never mentions it really.
