Season 9

According to the webmaster of Pe2K, who was a VIP at the Byrant Park event, Season 9 will start Saturday September 9th (Do I see a pattern?).

Also, Miguzi will continue to air episodes, most likely reruns.

So, I think Pokemon BF will be on Toonami.

Most likely. They've dug out a full hour for Chronicles and it will likely take the 7:00 or 7:30 and then do the same thing they're doing with Naruto and One Piece with an encore and then a new episode after Chronicles is over.

Let's hope they fix that butchered Season 9 opening they showed at the ComicCon. They need to restore the scene with all of Ash's old Pokemon.

September really is shaping up to be a month for us, eh?

We got an appearantly dub-based special, the NA release of Mystery Dungeon, the beginning of the first dubbed episode not by 4Kids, the Japanese release of D/P, the start of a new Japanese series, and a bunch of stuff I'm forgetting.

I just can't wait to see if it's good enough for me to stop watching raws.

And as for me, like I've said before on other threads, I may or may not watch season 9.

I mean, even though I know I'm gonna hate these new voices (and please, no one comment on my opinion, let's not start another VA debate here), everyone here knows I'm a huge fan of the dub. I've seen all the dubbed episodes from every season, I've seen them hundreds of times in reruns, and I've even memorized the titles (lol). And overall, I've always enjoyed watching the Pokemon dub.

So here's what I'm gonna do.

First, I'll have to watch a few episodes of Pokemon: Battle Frontier to see how good the new voices and VAs are. And if I feel that they are good enough and at least tolerable for me, then I might watch season 9.

Watching season 9 wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for me. I'd just have to ignore the fact that these aren't the REAL voices of the characters, so I can try to enjoy the show the way I always have......

That's what I'm going to do as well. I'm going to watch the first three episodes and if the voices are tolerable then I will continue to watch the dubs.

I really hope I can get used to the voices as it would make my favourite recent episodes much more enjoyable.

I sure hope that I will like them, because if I don't then I'm gonna be really sad. :-(


I mean, having watched every episode of the dub and then not watching season 9? I'm sorry to say this, but I don't think I could even go a few days without watching Pokemon.

And that is why I hope I'll find the voices tolerable, so I won't have to make that horrible sacrifice.


So above all else, I'm really hoping that I can continue to watch the dub (even though it really won't be the same show, in my opinion).

The REAL voices are actually the Japanese ones anyway.

But, I don't speak or understand Japanese, so that doesn't count for me. XD

Haha. Nope. But I prefer the original voices over the dub ones, including the Mexican version which is the one I watch in cable TV. I be wapanese.

It doesn't matter whether the new VAs have the voices of angels or if they sound like nails on a chalkboard, people will complain and rant senselessly either way.
