Second Movie Adaptation?

Waaaaay back when, Dogasu said that there was a movie 2 adaptation in the July 1999 issue of CoroCoro. No one at the time could find it, but that discussion was several years ago and we have a lot of new people since then. Does anyone know where I could find this grail?

Also, who else thinks CoroCoro should release a book of their movie adaptations? Like as a sampler platter or something? (and then more people would know the joy of seeing a Rocket punch Ash in the face, but I digress)

Couldn't find anything but this page, which gives a bit of information about the manga. Apparently, Flura doesn't appear, the Rocket-Dan don't appear, and Satoshi's mom and Uchikido-Hakase don't appear. Also, the 47-page manga ends after Lugia's big entrance.

As far as getting the manga...I did a quick check on Yahoo! Auctions and found the JUNE 1997 issue, but not the July one.

Wait...how can you have 47 pages of movie 2 and not have the Festival Maiden? She's, like, key to the plot!

But wait again! Someone on LJ showed me the cover and Team Rocket is on it! And they and Jirarudan are the only people on-model! Why would they be on the cover if they're not in the actual comic?

Also, you mentioned that Ivy and Delia aren't in it...so am I to presume Oak still is? Even though the only thing he really did in it was give a vague overview as to what was going on in the ocean (and in the dub had a funny line about his lumbago)?

Here's the cover in question, clearly showing Team Rocket and a horribly off-model Ash...and what I'm pretty sure is stock art of Jirarudan since I have a magazine scan with that exact picture.

The Rocket-Dan picture is clearly anime stock art of them as well.

I donno, it looks traced *from* stock art rather than the stock art directly. But then it's kinda small.

Either way, it's odd that they'd be on there in *any* regard if they're not in the book.
