Secret Area of Colosseum?

When me and my sister were watching the intro movie on the start menu, we saw a 2 second clip of this one area that my sister thought was a cloning area (I told her about the end of the game from a walkthrough), and Wes was standing infront of it. I even spotted an even fuller picture on the japanese Pokemon Colosseum website. I added a screencap from the website as an attachment below.
 
That is probably the place were you use the Japanese e-Reader cards. This was most likely removed from the US version.
 
I would imagine it to be so, as that appears to be the English-version-erased side room of Phenac Stadium.
 
Well, why would they have kept it? They weren't going to make US e-Reader cards for it anyways.
 
Thanks, you guys. Looks like I'm gonna have to break the bad news to my sister. I'm pretty sad that they took that out of the english version, though. Because I got Pokemon Channel before Colosseum, and it came with a couple of e-Reader cards. Or, if it's like what Geoffrey2004 said, it would've been nice to have a simulation room like in XD. Thanks for letting me know!

Yes. It is appalling and sad and pathetic what POA takes out of the Pokemon Games. i think it is an ego trip, a bully mentality. They take things away from us, ereader cards, colosseum ones let you get three new Pokemon not to mention the enjoyment of the battles, the Celebi/Pikachu bonus disc, 6 ereader berry cards, the old sea map, ereader map cards, ereader capability even, some secret base stuff, altering cave.

They took so much away from us in the third generation without any intention of giving anything back.

I'd hardly call it appalling or pathetic. They can take out whatever the heck they want, it's their games.
 
e-reader was stupid and merely a ploy at additional money, I am glad we didn't experience it in the US
 
The e-reader was probably just one big flop in japan and also why the GBA's life was so short
