Secret bases have been in the past two generations, so chances are that they'll come back in b/w too.

So do you think they'll reintroduce the secret bases in the overworld? Or will they make another underground with secret bases? Will you be able to battle your friends offline in either case?

You can also consider how they'd handle this with likely-to-happen R/S remakes, which will probably have their original secret bases.

I myself think there will be an underground in B/W (With hopefully offline friend battling), and that both will exist in Rr/Ss, where you then would be able to make two bases (or a linked one).

overworld. Please be overworld. And maybe put a healing machine in them.

4th gen was really dumb, I miss having my base in a tree/cave. I spent more time decorating that than everything else I did in the game! My base was to the west of Fallarbor (sp?) Town, you had to surf to it xD

Yeah I loved my secret base too. Mine was in the right spot of the tree right from the safari zone.

Good times.

Definitely third gen secret bases... 10x better for leveling up teams than the elite four. I have roughly ~20 lv. 100 pokemon because of it.

i like the idea of getting shards and fossils and whatnot in the underground, maybe have something like that

They should put it aboveground, and let you find other friend's bases over wi-fi, along with offline.

Whatever it is, I just don't want to have to play tons of multiplayer minigames before I can decorate it right. Those stupid rocks in gen4 sucked. Just give me an area and let me get down with my mad interior designer self.

yeah, when I had Diamond I was like "how on earth will I get pokémons to level 100 here?". I used to have about 19 (I think) friends with secret bases, and used to battle all those trainers once a day. 3-4 days and my poké was level 100.

Bases yes, underground no.

The bases could be somewhere else, but I liked the Underground in D/P/Pt, personally. It allowed you to dig up some rare/expensive items like max revive, the evolution stones, fossils, etc. Trying to get a fossil in Hg/Ss, by comparison, is a giant pain in the ass.

The underground was annoying and boring.

I liked running around and finding trees/indents/bushes and making them into secret bases, though I wish they would make them bigger and wifi-capable so you could have a base party :D
:7up:

I want to be like R/S/E. I had/have mine in a tree down the river on route 119 I think it was?

EDIT: I was LIVIN' IN A TREE DOWN BY THE RIVER!!! I was known as Brendan Foley.

If Secret Bases are in the next gen, I hope they go back to being in trees and caved. I preferred them there to the Underground...

Don't get me wrong, I liked the way the Underground worked, what with the mining and such... but Secret Bases didn't feel like "secret bases" at all down there :/

I agree, I like a base in a tree is better.

The secret bases in Gen3 were more fun, and felt a little more personal than the underground did. I also think that the accessories were easier to obtain, and much better in Gen3. The underground was fun to play in, but the little caves wern't really that welcoming a place to have a base. I guess the villa made up for that fact?

I couldn't really care one way or another about the bases but I do hope the underground comes back. It was a very useful way for finding rare items.
