I'm going to enter the mono-type team with this team of Electric types. The rules are:
1) You must have AT LEAST 4 Pokemon of your chosen types
2) If you have any Pokemon not of your chosen type, they must have a move of your chosen type
3) No legends/Wobbu/Wynaut

My team is:

Electrode@Focus Sash
Hasty
252 Atk
252 Spe
4 HP
Static

Screech
Explosion
Thunderbolt
Taunt

My lead, Taunt to counter setups, Screech if possible, and BOOM!!! Basically, one of those "We have to kill something with this, right?" sets.

Porygon-Z@Choice Specs
Modest
252 SpA
252 Spe
4 Def

Tri Attack
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
HP Fighting/Dark Pulse/Psychic
Adaptability

Tri Attack beast, others for coverage.

Gyarados@Life Orb
Adamant
252 Atk
252 Spe
4 Def
Intimidate

Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Earthquake
Thunder Wave

A famous Gyara set, I replaced Stone Edge/Ice Fang because most of the coverage is redundant and I need an Elec move. Also a great Elec lure for Vire.

Electivire@Expert Belt
Adamant
252 Atk
252 Spe
4 HP
Motor Drive

Thunderpunch
Ice Punch
Cross Chop
Earthquake

Gets the elec powerup from Gyara and procedes to pwn. A favorite of mine.

Jolteon@Leftovers
Timid
252 SpA
252 Spe
4 HP
Volt Absorb

Baton Pass
Charge Beam
Substitute
Wish

Relatively standard Baton Passing Jolt. Charge Beam to power up Porygon even more and Wish to keep it alive.

Magnezone@Life Orb
Mild
252 SpA
126 Spe
130 HP
Magnet Pull

Thunderbolt
Signal Beam
Magnet Rise
Metal Sound

Max SpA, Magnet Rise to solve his massive weakness to Earthquake, Metal Sound to lower SpD on opponents.

Here's also a list of my team's weaknesses and its counters;
Electrode: Doesn't need counters, meant to die

Porygon-Z: Fighting
Possibly Psychic, but otherwise nothing

Gyarados: Electric, Rock
Supposed to have opponent's team scouted for Elecs already so I can switch to Electivire. Waterfall for Rocks.

Electivire: Ground
Ice Punch

Jolteon: Ground
Not meant to stay long, either gets killed or BP's out of there.

Magnezone: Ground, Fire
Magnet Rise for Ground, hoping they rely on the 4x instead of the 2x.

Re: Semi-mono Rock team for mono tourney

Pretty solid team. LOL "Solid."

I understand that Rock Slide is the needed filler for the tourney.

Re: Semi-mono Rock team for mono tourney

*Takes note if the aerodactyll lead*
I dont know much about rock types, but it looks good. Obviously a huge water weakness though

Re: Semi-mono Rock team for mono tourney

Well, freddie515 makes a point: every last Pokemon here is weak to Water. My Sharpedo and Azumarill would cause a LOT of havoc here.

Re: Semi-mono Rock team for mono tourney

Cradily Corsola Omastar And Kabutops all have no water weakness
Maybe try one of them, or use a scizor or something as you can have 2 non rock type pokemon

Re: Semi-mono Rock team for mono tourney

1) Wow that was fast
2) I understand the massive weakness to water, but I'm debating whether to remove Rhyperior or Rampardos, as they are both basically the same. I have a Cradily, but I'm pretty sure it's horrible (lvl 100 w/o EV training). Unless I can find a Poke with all of Magmortar's move types, I'm keeping both of my non-rock poke (Freddie, Hippowdon is only Ground, not Rock). Anyone have an idea for Cradily or Omastar (the two Rock types that are Special based), because I really need another Special attacker.

Re: Semi-mono Rock team for mono tourney

Pokemon that learn magmortars moveset:
Smeargle
Snorlax
Blissey (paraflinch anyone?)
Electivire

Re: Semi-mono Rock team for mono tourney

Smeargle- Have you seen its stats?
Snorlax- Need less walling, more SpA
Blissey- Same as Snorlax
Electivire- Need less physical, more Special

Also, adding this: Ground and Steel, two of my five weaknesses, are banned because Sketch(?) and Magnedeth have them as IPGL leaders already.

Also, I'm leaning towards rebreeding my Cradily because of its lack of Water and Grass weaknesses.

EDIT: Because Rock has WAY too many weaknesses, I'm changing to Electric.

You Still got a big weakness to Ground, not necessarily a ground pokemon though. A lot of pokemon carry ground pokemon just for coverage, so You might want a levitator or a flying type

Gyara is Flying, and the only Elec Pokemon immune to Ground are Zapdos and Rotom. Aren't both Banned?

Rotom's not banned... just the appliance forms are because they're not usable on Wi-Fi without an AR.

Okay, but Rotom-A have good stats while Rotom... does not, though I admit its typing is nice. Does anyone have any ideas for a moveset? (My Rotom is horrible, boxed forever, so I don't know any)

Try this:

Timid / Choice Scarf / Levitate
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Signal Beam/Hidden Power (Ice/Fighting)
- Trick
252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP

Rotom is usually used for Trick, so why not?

Yeah, maybe, although Jolteon is pretty useful.
