Yeah, just thought I'd post it on here and let you throw your ideas around.

Anyway, I've been wondering about this for a few weeks, if a Pokemon who's heart is artificially closed to become a Shadow is actually in another type or not.

Shadow Pokemon are, after all, resistant to Shadow moves, and Shadow moves are strong against non-Shadow Pokemon.

So, guys, I'll throw it out to you. Can we count them as their own type?

I'd say like a sub-type just because it isn't recognized as a true type, but the advantages and disadvantages do happen.

Well, Shadow is kinda like a 3rd type tacked on, as Shadow Pokemon still have their normal types (like a Shadow Seel would take Super Effective damage from a Thunderbolt), with some moves being labled as "Shadow" type.

**Combine 300ml of Dark and 300ml of Ghost and you will have Shadow**

Basically Shadow is a combination of Dark and Ghost so unnessessary

I have no idea, but I'd think that it'd be more of a hassle to change the AG game engine to add a third type than to just add another stage to how damage is evaluated. But, what do I know? :p

I think it'd be more of a Status Condition that isn't easy to get rid of. Maybe more of a sub-status condition, where you can be Paralyzed and Shadow as the status. And Shadow would make your Pokemon disobedient a lot, but allow more Critical Hits or something. And the way you get rid of it is by using some item.

I bet if it was thought through, it could be used in the other RPG's somewhere. :p

Shadow Pokemon are evil..right?, anyways, I love Dark/Ghost types they are scary for some people, but i love them!! :p

Maybe Shadow pokemon have some sort of Poke-power, Meowth speaks human, Ninetales curses people, Ditto and Castform transform, Shadow pokemon beat non-shadow pokemon?
