I've decided to raise some NFE Pokemon.
Combusken
Jolly / Focus Sash / Blaze
- Fire Punch
- Reversal
- Agility
- Baton Pass
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
My lead, and my Agility-Passer. It can also use the Agility to its own benefit. After surviving a hit with Focus Sash and setting up, it can outpace pretty much anything un-Scarfed. Also, its attack options get powered up by having 1 HP: Fire Punch with Blaze, and Reversal going up to 200 power.
Pikachu
Adamant / Light Ball / Static
- Volt Tackle
- Brick Break
- Quick Attack
- Fake Out
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
My veteran Pikachu, LiteStrike. Fake Out is useful for breaking Sashes. Quick Attack allows it to outpace and defeat weakened sweepers. Its other attacks are best at taking on slower Pokemon. Volt Tackle for power, and Brick Break for coverage and shattering barriers.
Kadabra
Modest / Choice Scarf / Synchronize
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Trick
252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
With the Choice Scarf, it can outpace pretty much anything. It hits hard with Psychic or Shadow/Energy Ball. Trick is also useful, because it restrains the foe with its Scarf. Great for messing up walls like Chansey.
Chansey
Bold / Leftovers / Natural Cure
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
- Aromatherapy
- Softboiled
252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 Sp. Defense
My wall. I did everything I could to improve its pitiful Defense. Anyway, I couldn't get Seismic Toss because I don't have a Bold Chansey in Emerald, and it's way too difficult to get one. So I went with Ice Beam, which damages any Pokemon. Toxic destroys enemy walls, as well as other Pokemon. Aromatherapy heals the team's ailments, and it heals itself with Softboiled.
Gligar
Adamant / Wide Lens / Hyper Cutter
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Swords Dance
252 Attack, 156 Defense, 102 Speed
The ideal candidate for receiving Combusken's Agility. I tweaked it a little. It uses Swords Dance to become powerful. On Stone Edge, inaccuracy is Gligar's worst enemy, so I put Wide Lens on there to reduce the odds of missing.
Metang
Impish / Light Clay / Clear Body
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
252 HP, 100 Defense, 158 Sp. Defense
Metang is useful for setting up the Screens and Stealth Rock. When the job's done, it explodes.
Failed Ideas
Ivysaur
Careful / Leftovers / Overgrow
- Seed Bomb
- Curse
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis
252 HP, 252 Sp. Defense, 6 Defense
I thought this would be good, but Chansey was better. And this does, like, nothing to other Grass-types.
Constructive criticism is welcome. I'm not a noob, but I'm also not the best battler in the world.
