Shedinja Appreciation Thread

I love when Pokemon are unique even if they're useless in battle. The design is cute, and is possibly the closest thing we have to an angel Pokemon right now. The way to obtain is cool, as basically you have a Pokemon that evolves into two forms at the same time, I do think it should work with any Pokeball instead of just one. The gimmick is very cool, the trade off of "is weak to super effective moves but otherwise dies instantly" is crazy and makes it tempting to use for in-game campaigns. I wish we would see Pokemon like it more often.
 
what if we got a let's go shedinja?

my dream shedinja game would start after getting your starter, where your character sees a shedinja behind a building, alone. the player character feels empathetic and the shedinja goes with them. from there the shedinja would be unique. the shedinja would always be in the last party slot (for balancing and story reasons) and as you adventured, you went and bonded with the shedinja, going to a wise old wisdom man and having some tea, buffing shedinja and giving it some new moves.

that would be my perfect shedinja game
 
I like Shedinja, interesting design and unique gimmick.
 
Shedinja is a really cool concept with a unique typing and a neat Ability, even if it is hard to use in battle. Not my favourite Hoenn Pokemon, but I still really like it.
 
this thread is a perfect opportunity to post fun shedinja facts.
as you are all probably aware, after gen 3, shedinja always ends up in a normal poke ball regardless of what ball the nincada was in, so the only way to get shedinja in a non-poke ball is to evolve one in gen 3. HOWEVER. this is not actually true!
in gen 4, the sport ball for the bug catching contest in HGSS is not programmed properly into DPPT, and thus DPPT interprets the sport ball as a normal poke ball. this means if you evolve a sport ball nincada in a gen 4 sinnoh game, it will not trigger the piece of code to overwrite the poke ball data... and the value for the sport ball stays the same. after trading the newly evolved shedinja back into HGSS, it'll be in a sport ball! very fun little exploit.
i love shedinja, it's one of my favorite hoenn mons :bulbaLove:
