does anyone think it's worth using my shedinja, and then a pokemon with skill swap, so i can take advantage of wonderguard, but not have to use such a wussy pokemon?

If you can find a Pokemon with a decent ability, you can pass Wonder Guard over to them, since Shedinja's going to get knocked out easily anyway.
