A sheep gave birth to a dead lamb with a human-like face. The calf was born in a village not far from the city of Izmir, Turkey.

Erhan Elibol, a vet, performed Cesarean section on the animal to take the calf out, but was horrified to see that the features of the calf’s snout bore a striking resemblance to a human face.

“I’ve seen mutations with cows and sheep before. I’ve seen a one-eyed calf, a two-headed calf, a five-legged calf. But when I saw this youngster I could not believe my eyes. His mother could not deliver him so I had to help the animal,” the 29-year-old veterinary said.

The lamb’s head had human features on – the eyes, the nose and the mouth – only the ears were those of a sheep.

Veterinaries said that the rare mutation most likely occurred as a result of improper mutation since the fodder for the lamb’s mother was abundant with vitamin A, CNNTurk.com reports.

A goat from Zimbabwe gave birth to a similar youngster in September 2009. The mutant baby born with a human-like head stayed alive for several hours until the frightened village residents killed him.

The governor of the province where the ugly goat was born said that the little goat was the fruit of unnatural relationship between the female goat and a man.

"This incident is very shocking. It is my first time to see such an evil thing. It is really embarrassing," he reportedly said. "The head belongs to a man while the body is that of a goat. This is evident that an adult human being was responsible. Evil powers caused this person to lose self control. We often hear cases of human beings who commit bestiality but this is the first time for such an act to produce a product with human features," he added.

The mutant creature was hairless. Local residents said that even dogs were afraid to approach the bizarre animal.

The locals burnt the body of the little goat, and biologists had no chance to study the rare mutation.

Oh my lord! I CANNOT sleep after seeing what it looked like!

Here you go, then.

Well, that kinda killed the purpose of a warning.

I'm...scared to look under the spoiler tab. ><

I DUN WANNA SEE IT! I DUN WANNA SEE THE HUMAN GOAT/SHEEP! I'm scared T.T
*hyperventilating*

Like I said, it looks tabloid. It's on par with the story of people eating aborted babies in the Orient as a regular practice. And the face looks kinda photoshopped. What gives it away is the bestiality bit.

And by the way, if you think that's disgusting looking, please. I'm a country boy, I've seen cows, horses, and cats being birthed. It's not a pretty sight.

This happened before a while ago, I remember, although I'm not sure if it was in Turkey and I can't find the actual article, but basically a Sheep gave birth to a something with a human like body and limbs and a human-esc face, it died very quickly however.

Hmm. I'll spoiler for *squicky* and perhaps inappropriate discussion.

I'm pretty sure it has been scientifically verified that only sperm cells can impregnate their own species, not others. It's hard not to speculate that a guy borked a sheep and this was the end result. But I am dead certain it's not possible.

Otherwise, this looks like a genetic mutation or a hoax. If anyone remembers, there were supposed pictures of a 'human-dog/pig hybrid' when in fact it was just the artwork of a lady called Patricia Piccinini.

Artwork in question~

Now I feel sick.

That is so fake. It just looks like one of those stage masks but on a sheep. And I've never seen a professional article say something like "ugly sheep" - reporters are supposed to hold back their opinions.

Also it's not scary for those of you who don't want to click it. (I didn't want to either, but when I did I just laughed.)

When I was looking for legit articles of this sheep, there was another story from the past about a goat or sheep (I found conflicting stories) that was similar. Apparently the villagers killed and burned it before scientists had a chance to study it. Pretty convenient, eh?

I have one word for you:

Mule.

Am I the only person who isn't freaked out by that?
I mean, surely the Harlequin Baby Syndrome is far more grotesque than this...and I'd still totally cuddle that sheep. <3 I think it's dreadful how they killed it. :(

Um...it was stillborn, if the article is true.

Oops! My bad. "The locals burnt the body of the little goat, and biologists had no chance to study the rare mutation." Misread that...but that still pisses me off because I'm big into biology. Sorry for misreading! :)

Also, imagine if it were alive! That would be creepier!

I wouldn't say "villagers" to describe the people of Izmir. Izmir is a big city with over a million people. And they're very modern people.
