The allusions to Gold and Silver remakes have yet to be exhausted.

Thanks to Kiera229, I have here a translation of the Sheimi event. It would appear that Prof. Oak's appearance on Route 225 is far from coincidental:

Oh, I've been waiting for you [Player]!
Could you look at this stone monument right away?
I found one like it in the Kanto region, and I want to borrow your power!
If you research what's written on the stone, it looks like the kind of thoughts of a trainer who has made friends with an adult, giving thanks.
That is why I want to borrow your power.
You've come here having met lots of people and Pokémon, and made lots of connections and friendships.
It would be good to speak your current feelings.
Right! Who is the companion you wish to give thanks to?
Hmm... the companion you want to give thanks to [Companion], is that really okay?

What was that Pokémon? Has it got some connection to this stone monument?
Hmm... I wonder if that Pokémon has some connection to what was just said.

I had a hunch that Sheimi was not landlocked to Sinnoh, and the text supports just that. We can deduce that a monument similar to the one on Route 225 has appeared somewhere in Kanto (Sevii Islands?).

Sheimi probably isn't more native to Kanto than it is to Sinnoh; it is has the ability to create a flower elysium in close proximity to a white stone, of which there at least two - in Kanto and Sinnoh.

It is one thing to feature Prof. Oak as a pertinent character in this event, but going as far as to establish that Kanto has a mystery which we have seen neither in the original games nor in FireRed and LeafGreen, is more than just Game Freak's whim. It seems to me that we can expect to see Sheimi unlocked not only in Diamond and Pearl, but in future remakes of Gold and Silver, as well.

There was the White Stone in R/S, which everyone said Jirachi came from. And, remakes probably won't happen. We don't need them.

Nice theory, pity it lends some credibility to the inclusion of Kanto in the future G/S game.

Damnit.

Do you think possibly the Shemei event could be triggered by a link-up with a "possible G/S remake"?

This line sounds kinda evil..0.0

Your point being? Jirachi, like Manaphy, suffers from the lack of a game location to which it can be tied. Sheimi, however, is clearly not in that category.

I think that the entire point to including the Sheimi event in Diamond and Pearl was to ensure broader access to the event later on. Deoxys was kept for FireRed and LeafGreen, and indeed Birth Island is in the vicinity of Sevii Islands, but that did not prevent it from being included in Emerald. However, Deoxys was only distributed once in Japan at a time when Emerald had yet to be released. Moreover, the Wonder Card for the Auroraticket was made intransferrable to other cartridges, apparently because that would have intervened with the movie promotion. In other words, only players of FireRed and LeafGreen who pre-ordered a movie ticket have Deoxys in Japan.

I guessed that back on 09/26, but why do we have Darkrai? A Hoenn remake? Already? I hope I don't start a trend.

Mew was for R/G.
Celebi was for G/S.
Jirachi was for R/S but you needed to get the Orre game.
Deoxys was for FR/LG.
Manaphy is for D/P but you needed to get the Fiore game.
Sheimi is for the G/S remakes, obviously, as I posted way bakc on 09/26 on Pokémon Highway.
Darkrai, or in English, Darklai, as we know NoA will call it, is for what?
Aruseus is a special bonus for getting all the Pokémon.

lol look at my pumpkin ->

do you mean like it was in kanto? it would be cool if darkai was in kanto....

so do you mean someone said it was in kanto and they used a glitch ?_?

No, Unown Lord posted a translated dialogue from Professor Oak when you do the Sheimi event, which still happens in Sinnoh. In the dialogue, the stone monument which activates the Sheimi event is apparently similar to another monument in Kanto--what that is is unknown. Whoever translated it either used a certain glitch (which would probably be fixed in the English version) or a cheat device. I have no idea.

By the way, is Nintendo doing something about the glitch in Japan? Are they doing an update?

Someone used a cheat device to activate the event (which is not the same as accessing the Flower Elysium through a glitch--Oak's Letter needs to be received via "regular" means for Prof. Oak to be present on Route 224). That person filmed his Nintendo DS screen and uploaded the file onto Youtube. I merely took note of it and asked Kiera229 to translate the dialogue.

This is their solution to the problem.

i hate nintendo when they discover glitches!KEEP EM A SECRET TILL NA GAMES COME OUT!!!GOD WHAT'S RONG WIT YOU PEEPS???

japanese people always get the best stuff of course and from what i just found out, they cheat a lot also

What? You think Nintendo of Japan wouldn't have found out on their own?
not if everyone didnt go and blabber it on boards.. plus if everyone didnt blabber it nintendo would have probably never looked for the glitch after it was released.. and the us would have it too.

The glitch causes your game to crash. You can't magically keep the Legendaries found via it. -_-

I don't think so. I'm sure it would've turned up eventually. And why are people blaming the US for it? It's not our fault.
