Even though I'm getting a little tired of these threads, I'll do one anyway.

VS.

Shiftry vs. Ludicolo!

Shiftry is exclusive to Ruby while Ludicolo is exclusive to Sapphire. Both have abilities that boost there speed in the sun and rain respectively. Ludicolo also can heal itself in the rain.

Shiftry is a mixed attacker while Ludicolo is Special based. Shiftry is Grass/Dark while Ludicolo is Grass/Water.(A unique type combo)

Anyone who has played Colosseum will, without a doubt, remember Miror B and his 4 Ludicolo.

So who's the better Battler?

Which is your personal favourite?

My favourite would be Shiftry. It looks really cool and has the better design. But Ludicolo is the better battler.

Better battler: Ludicolo. Its special movepool is decent and it can either sweep in rain or support in it.

Better design: Shiftry. The fan-hands are what make it cool.

Personal favorite: Shiftry (see above reason)

Ludicolo is amazing. The first time I saw it in the anime, I remember sitting there blankly for most of the episode. Then Lombre evolved and I bursted out laughing because it was just so happy.

This is so hard. Shiftry is cooler in design, but Ludicolo is so unique and quirky. I love them both so much.

ludicolo who is better than shiftry
sableye who is unaffected by brawlys entire gym compared to mawile tht is weak against it

I like Ludicolo's crazy design. It's just so quirky. He's also the better battler. But what really makes it for me is Mirror B. in Colosseum. Now that was the very definition of EPIC right there.

Ludicolo would win in a battle, due to Ice Beam.

But for preference, I'm going the Shiftry way. It looks a lot more dangerous than that silly Ludicolo. And I've always liked Dark-types.

Shiftry. He got some involvement in the first PMD, and doesn't look... Like Ludicolo does.
Plus, it's a wooden Tengu, while Ludicolo is... a lotus piñata? A pineapple?

Ludicolo is the stronger of the two and the one with the more original design though.
