One of the current anime running in 2013 spring from April 6.

Wikipedia said:
Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人, Shingeki no Kyojin?, lit. "Advancing giants") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, which is set in a world where the remains of the human population live inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the sudden appearance of the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. The story centers around the life of Eren Jaeger and his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, whose lives are changed forever after the appearance of a colossal titan brings about the destruction of their home and the death of their mother. The series won the Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2011, and a live action film is in production

The manga had been popular, and when the trailer preview for the anime had been released, people were excited and hyped. This anime is easily one of the most anticipated, and probably has the best storybase.

I myself, had been really excited after watching the first few episodes. This was the first time in many years that my palms turned sweaty while watching the anime (the first being Death Note), and that I couldn't simply wait one week and went and read the manga - and the story did not fail me. This is the most interesting I have ever seen, and I am looking forward to how the anime will be like. Will it loyally follow the manga? Or will it have an alternate ending on its own?

I haven't seen the manga, but from watching the 3 episodes I can tell you it's one of the darker animes i've seen (death note anyone?). People have told me that the manga is really good, i'll probably pick it up.

Unless things plummet, I'll continue watching.

I haven't read the manga either, but I'm enjoying the anime quite a bit so far. Looking forward to see where it goes.
And Mikasa is awesome. ♥

SNK is the best anime series this season. I started reading the manga after the end of episode 5 because I couldn't wait to see what happened... I've only read up to like, chapter 15 or so. I am up to date on the anime.

Episode 9 aired today, and I found it to be another excellent episode.
Rivaille/Levi is amazing! I really like how he called his hands filthy when some titan blood got on them, but his clean-freak attitude didn't stop him from holding his comrade's bloodstained hand. It's good that one of the best fighters deeply values human life.

Eren being inside the titan was a very creepy scene. The facial expression Eren has when he returns from his dream back with Armin/Mikasa... truly disturbing.

Mikasa is one of the best fighters, but she only serves Eren, that's sweet.

I really hope the three friends can make it out alive, what a cliffhanger... There are cliffhangers like, every episode, haha.

Just saw episode 9. My theory was right, I feel proud. xD

Levi's really cool. Although this episode is really making me wonder what the hell is in the basement. xD

Lol I remember when the first spisode came out and my sister was all hyped about it because she read the manga and got me into it.I really like it but I didn't know how huge it was to some people. I love all the funny parodies and memes people have made out of it, especially being one of the more serious animes. xD

First two episodes were pretty great. But it hasn't been nearly as good since. The music is great though.

The basement. Urgh the basement.

But yeah, I'm all caught up with the manga. I'm just left with a bunch of questions floating in my head, especially
regarding the motivations of certain characters.

I adore and love Rivalle. I wish for him to be my husband.

Oh the fangirls :p

The pacing of the last week's episode was a bit slower than the earlier ones, in my opinion.
And yeah, THE basement. I haven't read the manga so idk what's up with Eren's dad and the secrecy... I hope they explain all of it very soon.

We'll be getting a new opening and an ending song soon (next month, I think)... Not to mention, the live action movie next year.

The manga hasn't said much about the basement either. It's a big mystery

I had read the first 20 or so chapters about a year and a half ago and then fell out of it. Absolutely loved it though. Just saw manga sales for the first half of the year, and it reminded me of the series. Doing great though, 4,292,208 volumes sold between November and May. I'll probably end up starting up watching the anime now that I don't have much going on.

I heard that the animation studio having some kind of trouble with the series. The episodes are being turned in just in time.
Also, I have heard that unless they do the 13-episode order thing and then order the next batch of 13 episodes later on, the anime may catch up with the manga soon.

Iirc, this is planned out to be a 25-episode arc.

Rumor says the second OP will be Rivaille's theme. The first OP was said to be Eren's theme.

Just saw episode 10, felt rather slow and pointless. 10 minutes just for Armin, he's by far the most annoying out of the bunch.

I just started watching this anime today, and it's amazing. I love the art and the characters developed fast. Probably one of my favorite anime now. XD

I disagree. He's developing right now is all. The fact that they jump straight into improving the characters is something I find it to be a nice change from most animes especially since Armin's personality that we see most wasn't really in the first episode.

OK, I still think he's annoying. Oh well.

Episode 11 for me was by far a step up. The ending was quite interesting, guess I have to wait until next week though
