Shinies Vs Lengenderies

Do you prefer Shiny Pokemon or Legendary Pokemon?

Shiny myself, they are much rarer and better looking than legendaries in general, especially a legit shiny legendary!
 
Personally, I'm a shiny fan. I've even memorized all of the pokemon's shiny forms by heart.
 
What is shiny in the real world that we are comparing to what's legendary in the real world?
 
I am almost on my way to over 220 shinies =] I just got my targetted SHINY MILOTIC today on the gps for a milotic level 100 =]

Yes! I was very baffled when I saw this thread in the Real World Forums.

ON TOPIC: I would usually try to see how long it'll take me to find a shiny Pokemon, but I'd prefer legendaries more than shinies. I wouldn't prefer legendary shinies because most of them are hacks.
 
Shinies are rarer, but I'm not a big collector of them. They're cool, but I like a lot of the legendaries. Some of them, such as Zapdos and Azelf, have been important parts of my teams over the years.

Anyway.. I prefer shinies over legendaries because i like to see different things with different colours.

But legendaries are still pretty cool!
 
I don't understand, exactly. You can't really "prefer" one over the other-- it depends.

Would I rather have a shiny Charizard or a Regirock? Shiny Charizard.

Would I rather have a shiny Dunsparce or an Arceus? Arceus.

Besides, legendaries can be shiny themselves...

I'd be more excited to find a shiny Pokemon than I would to find a legendary Pokemon, because I'm not surprised when I see a legendary-- I already know where they all are, and I already own most of them. Shinies are completely random.

It all depends on which Pokemon you're dealing with. This is sort of an apples vs. oranges thread, imo.
 
i would rather have shinies than legendries apart from Arceus Darkrai and a few others
 
The only legendaries i actually find interesting are the first gen one's and lugia. So I think I'd rather have a shiny version of a Pokémon i enjoy than the majority of legendaries. But for the fact that I find the back stories for the legendaries in the first two movies interesting I am voting for legendaries.

i think the majority would choose shinies (me included) simply cause they're way more challengy to get. Everybody has or has had at least 5 legendaries and that's just in one game. If you've played the versions of the four generations you probably have around 20 legendaries. And not everybody has shinies.
I'm not saying that shinies are rarer because they're everywhere, unlike legendaries, but it's way harder to catch them
 
I would go with Shiny... Sure Legenderies are good and all, but I don't use Legendary Pokemon. I just leave them in the Boxes. Why? Well for one when I use a Legenrady (ex. Mewtwo was on my team when I got it on my Pokemon Yellow) it seems like the Game is not "fun" any more. There's no more challenge. Sure your all powerful and all, but it doesn't feel right.

Ever since my Pokemon Yellow, I vowed not to use a Legendary in my MAIN TEAM ever again. I now only use them when I'm leveling them up (I'm leveling up my Heatran now to just get Magma Storm).

And that too since Shiny Pokemon are more rare and all. I bet my lvl 100 Shiny Raticate could eat a lvl 100 Mewtwo alive! XD
