My Charizard level 100 just turned shiny. What does that change exept the appearence? Is it rare?

Did you have a shiny charmeleon or did you get it of the GTS as a charizard? If it was of GTS and it was not shiny before, it might be a hack as a pokemon is always shiny since hatching/finding one, it can't turn shiny when it levels up

Humm, got it from GTS. Anyways is my Charizard stronger?

No, being shiny has nothing to do with how strong it is. However, as Shinx3000 said, it is impossible for a legitimate Pokemon to become shiny through level up. This seems like a hack, and a really weird one too.

It didn't evolve from a level up though, just evolved in the beginning of a fight.

The icons on the party screen aren't shiny. Maybe you just didn't realize it before?

idk, that seems odd... but all pokemon have different stats and abilities etc... being shiny does not make them any stronger, just look more interestingand have different colors to normal pokemon

I would say that your Charizard is hacked. This hack might make it stronger, but that would be only because it is hacked. Normal shinies are no stronger or weaker than other pokemon (though is IS possible to get really good shinies, just like with regular colored pokemon).

Why is that people like to say things are 'hacked' when they don't understand what's going on?

In any case, I'm gonna go with what TTEchidna said, and say that the Charizard has always been shiny, and you just never noticed it. Now if you really believe its hacked, just check where it was obtained, what level, and such. If it is a terribly hacked one, it should also turn into a Bad Egg on Pokemon Battle Revolution.

Shinies used to have an effect on stats, but now they're the same as all the others.

It was red before. I can tell red from gray, believe me.

Hey, just wondering, if you still have it, could you post where it was caught/found, what ball it was in, trainer name and its stats and moves etc.. I am just curious to know what they are
