Would you like new variations on shiny pokemon maybe even make it gender based like a male buneary may be blue and silver instead of pink and silver or possibly nature based or even just two colors for each pokemon and especially change the color a bit for ones that look very similar EX: Pikachu,Jigglypuff,Scyther(though scizor is great), Golduck(love psyduck but dislike golduck)

I would love this, it would be great. I love shinies and it would be really cool if you could get more than one type (so long as they continue to be as hard to get as they are now) it would be a challenge to collect each different type of shiny. Also it would be like my other favourite game, Viva Pinata, which has variants (like shinies but easier to get, much easier) but has 3 variants per pinata.

I said yes but only if the current shiny is a letdown, because I'm kind of in the middle. I think it's a cool idea, but it also wouldn't bother me if it stayed the way it is. Although, I guess "only if the current shiny is a letdown" is pretty subjective anyway. But I do have one word - Garchomp. :/

Definetly several new possible colours for shinies. The majority of the current ones are absolutely awful (Drifblim) and some of them are barely a change at all (Dewgong).

I voted no, though it would depend on the availability of the different colored sprites. If there are more variations and they're easier to get, that sort of defeats the purpose of the challenge (for me at least).

I would have voted yes if they remain as rare as they are and you just might have a different colored shiny than someone else ("Hey, cool! You go the blue one!").

I want more blue fire Pokemon (Shiny versions or not). It was disappointing that Rapidash has gray flames becasue shiny Ponyta is my favorite shiny Pokemon. And it is disappointing that if I ever get just one shiny Ponyta, I probably won't evolve it (if I get two then yes).

Not easier to get you would have the same chance as you do now just a different shiny color

I would only want to see variations in "disappointing" shinies. Not necessarily colors we don't like, but shinies that have a slight shade difference from their normal colors. Kecleon in particular comes to mind. The purple one in the anime was adorable, but its shiny in-game just has a lame stripe color change. And light pink for Clefairy and Jigglypuff? What's the point?

Slightly OT, but I caught my first shiny last night! After 10 years of playing, I am now the proud trainer of a green Bronzor.

No, the opposite - variations should be more common and obtainable among "normal" Pokemon, and "normal" Pokemon should come in several different shades of color and with some physical differences like size and notable personal physical features. Like what they sort of did with the original Pokemon Stadium.

The reason people love Shiny Pokemon is because they want physical variation in their Pokemon, aside from statistics. They want to have a personal connection to a Pokemon and for it to be visually unique.

Imagine if, by clever sprite work and good programming, each Pokemon species (and by that I mean evolutionary line) had:

* Colors: 4 variations, 3 regular ones all in similar but noticeably different shades (IE: Yellow Pikachu, Orange Yellow Pikachu, Greenish Yellow Pikachu) all with an equal chance of occurring and one unique and rare Shiny one (Uh, Purple Pikachu).

* Builds: Alteration of the sprite's outline via that stretching process they're so fond of gives each Pokemon Normal, Heavy, and Slim builds.

* Distinguishing Marks: 0-3 small but unique body variations or marks for each species, unique to each evolutionary line which could appear separately or in various combinations on the Pokemon's body (different eyes, extra tails, pointier beaks, facial expressions, notched ears, birthmarks, scars, hair tufts.) For example: Your captured Pidgey could come with a pointier beak, ear-tufts, a neck-waddle, or none or any combination of the above.

* Gender Differences: One tiny distinguishing feature for male or female.

Now people would finally be able to have Pokemon that are unique outside of stats, which is what people seem to so desperately want. Smart design could mean everyone could have a unique Pokemon, instead of everyone being limited to binary "Shiny or not Shiny" or "Male or Female". You'd have (4) color variations x (0-3) physical variations x (3) build variations x (2) gender variations. No more hunting for hours to find a Shiny to feel special. Almost all Pokemon would be, or the range of variations would be so wide that combined with stats, there would be almost infinite diversity in single species.

Of course, the physical traits would carry on via evolutions: If you had a fat, light-brown Pidgey with ear-tufts and a neck-waddle, it would evolve into a Pidgeotto with ear-tufts and a neck-waddle. A dark-brown thin Meowth with one eye, an American penny in place of a Koban would evolve into a dark-brown Persian with one-eye and an altered forehead gem. Etc. etc.

Don't forget "Slightly Different Shade of White Togepi."

I like that idea! I've seen it bandied about on other boards and forums, but you've really fleshed it out.

Of course, for me it would be a nightmare since I'd want all the variations. As it is, I end up capturing multiple Spinda, and I'm not even fond of them. It's a collector thing.

No, because most shinies look hilariously terrible already. Make the current shinies look less like colorblind artists picked gaudy colors out of a moldy old hat and applied them to the sprite at random and more like actual thought was put into them, and then we'll talk. Not that I don't want to see new and exciting shinies for existing Pokemon, like a Giratina with a hot pink body and blaze orange & dark teal stripes or a Pikachu with a green body and bright, bright yellow cheeks.

Oh, and I almost forgot the shinies that are exactly the same as the normal coloration, only half a shade lighter or darker. Whoo, getting those shinies is TOTALLY WORTH IT.

Shinies are already rare enough but many of the ones I saw are a big letdown, the mostly are just yellowish-golden instead of there normal colors which comes to just substitute some of them.
