VIZ Media's Facebook just posted up a status stating: "SHONEN JUMP subscribers! What did you think of seeing Pokémon in the magazine? "Pika Pika" is not an acceptable answer." Could this be Pokémon RéBurst?

Shonen Jump is like an American equivalent to Shonen Sunday or whatever it is called? If it is, it'll probably be it.

Actually, Shonen Jump is Japanese as well. It releases manga like One Piece (awesome), Naruto (ok..), Bleach (coughuttercrapcough), Beelzebub (Hi-larious), Katekyo Hitman Reborn (cool) etc...

Shonen Sunday is another series...

Viz owns the English versions of Shonen Jump and Sunday, so the chances of it being ReBURST are looking pretty good.

Ah, then that is likely. I don't think it would be any other series and RéBURST seems to be going strong.

Well, there are other manga.

I doubt Pokemon Pocket Monsters will appear...

I don't think Be a Master! Pokemon BW is "Shonen enough" for it.

Hero of Thunder and Fire...maybe...

ReBURST is full Shonen, so I could see it coming.

The past tense in that status update implies that something Pokemon related's already been published in Jump?

Any idea what that is?

I don't live in the US and the only store here that sold Shonen Jump went into administration several years ago, but considering this comment:

Jason - Shocked to see it in Shonen Jump. I'd love it if Pokemon Adventures (best manga ever) was in the magazine every month.
I'm guessing it was Adventures. Possibly the BW chapter to popularise that.

Although, Viz Media to have the "Shonen Sunday" label that they could publish RéBurst under if they felt like licensing it.

It would be great if it were in Jump, but I don't think Pokemon is Shounen enough... Like, all the mainstream Jump manga are mostly battle-action, while Pokemon... is somewhat not.

I got the issue and it just has news about the TCG,games, manga releases, and DVD releases. No actual manga :(

Eh, I'm iffy with Pokemon Reburst, if only because the "Pokemon" element doesn't show up very often. Still think the mangaka should've done a better job setting up his world. That, and I'm still waiting for the female lead to actually do something, like letting her Pokemon out of its ball.

Even if Viz publishes both Jump and Sunday, I don't think Viz is allowed to put Sunday manga in the Jump magazines. They're still two different companies in Japan.

If that's the case, then I see this status update as being a mere "so, did you guys like having Pokemon in the magazine?" It seems more like an online version of those survey cards magazines have in them and therefore doesn't necessarily mean that anything new's been licensed.

I assumed Viz was only allowed to publish Shounen Jump titles in their Shonen Jump magazine and Shounen Sunday titles in their Shonen Sunday magazine. Like The Violent Tomboy said, Viz would be have to deal with two companies if they wanted to air a Sunday title in Jump.

Like I said, there WAS NO MANGA PUBLISHED IN IT. Just caps so people will read it. It was just news about releases.

Sorry, I meant the Shonen Sunday imprint they use when publishing volumes of SS series'; I shouldn't think so late at night xD

I saw the story summary. It's about humans and pokemon fusing? Reminds me of Digimon Frontier. I don't think that kind of pokemon manga would be a big hit...
