They should reproduce by budding. You stick one Ditto in the daycare and come back to the original Ditto and the new baby (Lv1) Ditto.
No, they have to be rare. Egging Dittos just means you can make tons of them and distribute them, which isn't really fair. Half of Ditto is finding and catching one.
Yes, because some people(like me) don't like to/shouldn't have to catch wild Dittos all the time.
Ditto = amoeba. Amoeba = asexual.
So if a Ditto is alone in the daycare, it will produce eggs with Ditto in them.
EDIT: Besides, who finds blobs to be sexy? o_o
I say no. I find the idea funny that it can turn into anything to breed as, but can't breed in it's true form.
Why does everyone say that Ditto and Mew have the same color? Mew is pink and Ditto is purple.. Unless the Mews that lost their forms changed a color.Ditto can breed... with anything but ditto. If a species can't breed with itself... Are all the dittos in the pokemon world immortal or something? I remember the theory that Ditto's were just mews that lost their ability to keep their form, since they weigh the same, have the same color, and both can use transform. Ditto sure is an interesting pokemon. I dont mind it not breeding with itself, no big deal.
