Do you think that there are Pokemon, attacks, abilities, or items that are so useless that they never should have been invented even tho it's all based on something? Or are you the type that likes all of it, even if they are weak, it still is a part of "real" life, kind of thinker? And the most important question of all: why?

Me myself, think it's all important because I think like it's like a "mirror" to our world.
 
Even if something is worthless, it's not like anybody is being FORCED to use it, so I think it is fine to have stuff like that. Except Defog, Whirlpool, and Flash (back when it was) as HMs, because they just waste perfectly good moveslots, LOL.
 
Yes. Otherwise it wouldn't be very realistic, would it? As the OP stated, it's like a "mirror" to our world.

When it comes to realism, yes. But when I have to use 2-3 Pokémon as HM slaves, I think they should just be items you can use that do the same thing.
 
Hmm, there's a lot of things that shouldn't have been.

For Pokemon, Luvdisc. It's a crappy Water-Type Farfetch'd that doesn't have anything going for it (Heart Scales are a dime-a-dozen thanks to that one lady in Driftveil, and Farfy has the Stick).

Move-wise, Sonicboom. It's a less-accurate, less-powerful, and less-widespread Dragon Rage.

Concerning abilities, Honey Gather. I'm 99% sure that you can buy honey, and I don't think there's any use for it in BW.

With items, most of the HMs. I mean, it's not like we need a 'Mon to light up a cave if they ever decide to make a flashlight item. Nor do we need that 'mon to carry us accross water. IT'S CALLED SWIMMING, PEOPLE! It's much healthier than getting a ride. And at least you can sell the X-Items.

(Not gonna rant about Fly, since I don't see a 10-year-old operating a jetpack.)
 
Everything has it's use, no matter how pathetic, but when I look at all those items clogging up space in my bag... there's a lot.
