Should Iris's Axew evolve?

I've been seeing mixed opinions about this. While Axew is an out-of-Poké ball Pokémon, it has been stated his goal is to evolve to Haxorus. Though, out of ball Pokémon usually never evolve (i.e. Pikachu, Piplup). But then there's Togepi, who evolved AFTER Misty was out of the main cast. So, what do you think? Do you think Axew will evolve like a regular Pokémon (i.e. Infernape, Sceptile), never evolve, like Pika and Piplup, or evolve right before or after Iris leaves the cast. What do you think? Remember to state your reasons.
 
I think it should evolve, for a couple of reasons.

First of all, I think that with the choice of moves that Kibago has been learning so far (Dragon's Fury, Imperial Wrath) that an evolution would help to justify the power that Kibago has when using them. Kibago is still relatively young and it irks me slightly to see the strength of the moves (not the moves themselves) very early into the saga.

I also think that it should evolve to show progression for Iris' Dragon Master goal. I think that Kibago learning new moves is great and adds more variety, but I also think that evolutions reflect well on the trainer and not just the Pokémon.
 
The last thing I want to see is Iris giving up her goal to evolve Axew because oh my poor wittle Axew wants to stay small and cute and all that shit.
So yes, I think it should.
 
I don't see why not honestly. Though, I guess it might seem a bit strange to not see Axew riding in Iris' hair.
 
It's kind of Iris's goal and Axew's dream. Both benefit from him evolving.

It's going to happen.
 
To a Fraxure, yes... then leave it off from Haxorus. Drayden already haz Hax. No need for another, really.

Of course it should evolve. It wants to evolve! It'd get Fraxure out of Iris' hair (literally) and into a Poké Ball. Maybe Meowth can take up residence.
 
I don't think staying in her hair is a good enough reason for it to stay as it is. The other cases of not evolving have happened for a number of reasons, the foremost being an outright aversion to evolving, which we don't have here. However, you may have me for the other prevalent one, which is that the writers just didn't want to. This is particularly headscratching for me with Buizel, who seems like he should've evolved, but he never did. We've only had two evos so far within the main cast, but here is where they usually start pulling out the stops on that. I still think it's possible for Axew to evo, and he remains one of the most likely to evo pokes in BW right now. (Possibly THE highest since Ash is so weighed down that I'll be surprised if any of his pokes evo anymore)
 
Yes, but near the end. It could evolve into Fraxure nearing the 8th Gym and then to Haxorus when she is about leave.
 
I want to see a Haxorus riding in Iris' hair. That would be the most amazing thing ever.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if its treated the same exact way May's Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken was.

Meaning Axew will evolve once in the middle of the saga, but won't reach its final form till Iris is about to leave the show.

Thats how I see it. I think she and Ash will battle some point before Best Wishes ends and it'll evolve.
 
I don't see why it shouldn't....That's what Iris' goal is, and that's what Axew dreams of becoming. His evolution will symbolise growth and development on both of their behalfs. Who would be against that?
 
I think it should. It's cute and all but it's a dragon Pokemon. So evolving will so not be badass.
 
Axew won't evolve until late.

I personally enjoy watching baby Axew do silly things and have cute facial expressions, as I can assume much of the target audience (call me a little kid) does.

But seeing as Pokemon get what they want in this show (Bulba, Squirt, Pikachu not evolving), then Axew will evolve. Eventually. I hope he does, too. And kicks Ash's ass.
 
I don't think so. Shaga already had Kibago's evolved forms, I can see his apprentice Iris with a Kibago. Also, I prefer Kibago to its evolved forms.
 
it wants to evolve, so it's probably going to, but probably not until near the end of BW, so it doesn't lose it's cuteness too soon.
 
I honestly can't think of a walking Pokemon that did evolve apart from Togepi, but even that was a year after Togepi originally left.
 
Maybe it will walk around as a Fraxure? I dunno, it would just weird to see Axew not out walking around anymore. But it's possible. I really don't expect Haxorous until right before she leaves, sort of like they already mentioned Blaziken of May's.
